Mother’s Day is upon us.
And for many women, it arrives carrying more than one emotion.
For some, it is joy.
For others, grief.
For many, both at the same time.
Beyond the flowers, brunches, and advertisements are the women holding memories close this weekend. The daughters missing mothers. The mothers missing children. The sisters, aunts, grandmothers, and caregivers who loved deeply and quietly shaped the lives around them.
And then there are the women who continue showing up every day without applause. Holding families together. Making a plan out of nothing. Loving through exhaustion. Carrying grief while still making space for others to feel safe, seen, and cared for.
This post is for them too.
So today, celebrate them.
Celebrate the women who raised you.
The women who guided you.
The women who protected you.
The women who became home for others.
And if this weekend feels heavy for you, you are not alone in that either. 🤍
Have you ever found yourself missing someone more deeply during moments the world expects you to celebrate?
