I am someone who likes to move physically, and sport has become a hobby and lifestyle that is close to me, but in the last few months, I have been faced with deadlines from my 8 to 5 job, making my activities from active to sedentary. At the end of January, I decided to focus on re-activating myself with exercise to make up for the mistakes made some time ago when I blamed work for not exercising. That was just an excuse because my body felt so tired from work which exhausted my mind, so I decided not to be physically tired anymore because I was tired of completing work at the office.
So, since February started, I have always spent the weekend exercising, whether it's taking a leisurely walk with the occasional jog, or going to the fitness center to lift weights. Previously, I always spent the weekend sleeping late, waking up late, and lazing around until night fell, this made my body even lazier, and I had to break it so it wouldn't become a bad habit in the future.
I like walking in areas with lots of green plants, like rice fields or green hills that are not far from urban areas. It feels like looking at the view relaxes my mind and body and becomes natural healing for my body and soul as a human being. While walking and enjoying the surrounding natural scenery, I also took photos of some eye-pleasing landscapes as if I wanted to immortalize what I saw at that time. Walking to a place close to nature will make our minds and eyes healthier, and reduce the effects of smartphone and computer screens that become a sight during the working day.
With full hope and enthusiasm, I want to be a person who is physically and mentally active even on weekends, because while I am still young and able to do regular physical activity, I want to use it with a healthy lifestyle so that when I am old, I can enjoy what I did today. Thank you for the interesting prompt this week, happy weekend everyone!!
