š„ Between Timbered Streets and Glass Towers: A Day in Frankfurt by
Last month, I took myself on a solo day trip to Frankfurt. A city I technically had already āvisited,ā but only for five minutes. It was the first place I landed when I arrived in Germany, but that day was a blur of suitcases, directions, and trying not to lose my mind on the way to Stuttgart. So I had made a plan to come back and do Frankfurt properly.

š„ Rovni Lake and Velika Stena Viewpoint near Valjevo, Serbia by
The second stop was right by the dam, those huge thick walls holding back the lake. There's a small stop there, a parking space for a few cars and signs everywhere saying not to cross the barrier on the dam and that the area is under video surveillance, but of course we didn't listen, so we went around and took a little walk, looking at the lake head on, right from the middle. The color of the water kept changing from dark gray to lighter shades, shifting into greenish tones, depending on how the sun was cooperating with the clouds.

But initially I was able to walk past each of its faƧades, and as this one is situated on a corner at the end of Carabobo Street, it is known as Bishop Lasso Street, since he lived in this neighbourhood many years ago in the last century. Back then, Maracaibo had just one street for entering and leaving the city, but as time went on, certain changes were made in Maracaibo with the construction of new roads, and now, in a way, that particular essence has been lost the fact that a single street connected you to the cityās only entrance and exit and Bishop Lasso Street was no exception.
