Looking Down, Part 2; digital pinholing

I had promised Hive account@fotostef a Part 2 of his looking down challenge. My first post contained pictures with a normal macro lens. However, I had also taken out my new pinhole lens with me on that walk-around-the-block and took some pictures with it, too, also primarily in a looking down fashion.

Although I was primarily looking down, I was looking for fun angles and things that would make fun subjects to look at; flowers became obvious, as did the patterns and shapes made my various pipes beneath the ground.

The pinhole lens has both a fixed aperture and a fixed focal range (which is pretty much infinite). The dials, or variables, I have at my disposal are setting the ISO on the sensor, shutter speed, and composition. Composition is really important for any photo, and even moreso for one with as simple a lens as this. I've found that for the mundane objects on the ground, getting close and filling the frame built a good story.

This picture ended up out of focus. I must have moved. There is certainly no shake-correction with this lens!

And finally, one of my neighbour's with this monk statuette in the front yard. I was thinking of going to get a closer look but, y'know, social distancing and all.
