This was taken with an iPad last Sunday for the Photo challenge. It is the same flood plain, that I walked over, and am going to do a post about. It is located in the small bend of the Irkut river in Tunka valley. Those clouds have been pouring rain on as for the previous week, and we were glad that they are moving away. The rains were so bad that the road to Mongolia got closed due to the flood ruining a bridge or several.
Another thing is that the mosquitos that inhabit the plain seem to be driven into frenzy by the signs of approaching autumn. A couple of weeks ago they only came out in numbers during dawn and dusk hours, but that day they were swarming over me in the height of the day.
Perhaps tomorrow I will take the shot of the mountains without the clouds, if the weather persists.
