We completely enjoyed Colorado Bend State Park, but it got cold last night and when we woke up at 4:30 am to get Milky Way photos both of our hammocks and sleeping bags were covered in dew! My bag was soaked through. I guess lesson learned and the tarp will be used from this day forward.
We decided to see the tallest waterfall in Texas at 70 feet tall. It was only a 1.4 mile hike there and the weather was cool and perfect. The hike was an extremely rocky path and the climb down to the waterfall was pretty scary. Thankfully there were ropes to help us down. The sketciness was totally worth it. Unfortunately, my knee is swollen and the other foot is in pain, but because I just don't know how to stop I will be push onward to be with y'all this evening .
We have stopped at Sonic for some lunch and ice cream. In a bit we will be heading to Austin, but the past few days have been amazing and we have seen three new state parks, enjoyed wildflowers, and seen amazing night skies. Now it is time to get our steem on and make a difference in all our lives. See y'all soon.
