After every successful promotion of the STEEMUP KADUNA, we finally got to the very day of the event, I could not afford to be there late, I had to wake up early in the morning to fix my morning activities and set out to Kaduna. Eventually I got to the event venue on time, waited for a few minutes as the event kicked off.
A lot of people turned up, the students of Federal Cooperative College Kaduna and many other people that saw the banners & Steemup posters, I was so enticed with the crowd. Although there was a little misunderstanding with the college authority about the availability of the hall, but we were able to tackle the problem.
The steemup also arranged a music competition for the Federal cooperative college students. The social idea brought all the students together, those that contested were promised with different prizes to be won. The college is so filled up with talents, rappers, singers, dancers and comedians, the event at first seemed like and entertainment show, before the main steemup presentation took place. All the contestants gave their sleek performances leaving 3 contestants with 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions who were awarded with tokens of appreciation.
After the entertainment, gave them a brief introduction to Steemit and Blockchain, he explained how valuable the steemit platform is and how it could change their lives, and how a lot of people are benefiting from it by not just earning but the ideas from different perspectives.
and
prepared the steemit presentation, I like how they cane together to make the STEEMUP KADUNA a success.
I like the way really made them feel, he encouraged the performing artists and the dancers, showing them how they can put what they do on the steemit platform and earn, he also rewarded some contestants of the musical competition that were not students of the Federal Cooperative college. The interesting part of it all was that some students actually registered using the link they saw on the banners, but due to internet problems they ware unable to put down some posts, but
surprised each of them with a one month data plan, he gave them money to be able to subscribe to their preferred networks.
Now you know how it goes, we had to take a selfie for steemit, even when the selfie angles were hardto get))
Meanwhile, right before the even started, and I had a long conversation, and he made me realise how the #project20millionnaija can be accomplished. The idea is wide and promising, there is no doubt, sooner than expected we will have more than 20 million Nigerians on the platform and the project will history to write about.
