Here are some impressions from our three day canoe trip on the Green River, back in 2014. We actually took so many great photos I decided to split this one up into two parts.
This is the entry-point we used to get down to valley of the Green River.
The road was very exposed. We took a bus that we shared with several other
people and a lot of canoes and equipment.
The bus driver honked several times, signaling our decent because
the road was too small to pass another bus.
This was our entry-point. On the right you can see our bus.
My girlfriend and myself in our rented canoe.
The canyon around the Green River was massive and more than 1000 feet high.
Rock colour and formation were just incredibly beautiful.
Day 2 (part 1)
The view from our camp site we had build on a small plateau.
My parents were using their own inflatable canoe.
I love these incredible rock monuments.
Not everybody can enjoy canoeing, though. My girlfriend didn't like it too much;
Sometimes it may take you more than one hour of paddling just to see the
same rocks again, but from an other angle. ; )
We stopped on a small sandbank...
... and found this incredible bouldering opportunity.
It lead further into a small canyon with more climbing possibilites.
