Seoraksan is the highest mountain in the Taebaek mountain range in the Gangwon Province in eastern South Korea. It is located in a national park near the city of Sokcho. After the Hallasan volcano on Jeju Island and Jirisan in the south, Seoraksan is the third highest mountain in South Korea.
The national park attracts many domestic and international tourists all year round, but the main season for Seoraksan national park is autumn. The autumn colours in the area are considered amongst the most beautiful in Korea. The red and yellow forest is interrupted by rocks and small mountain streams flow amidst this.
I went on July with my family. It was really hot day but cause of in the mountain, the temperature was lower than at the city.
On the way to top of the Seorak Moutain you can see the valley. My family dip foot and wash the face to cool off. Though the hot weather the water was so cool enough to make me forget the heat.
After came down the mountain, we went near restaurant calls MakGukSu, the buckwheat noodles with Dongchimi water-based radish kimchi. MakGuksu is good food to eat after tracking.
Seorak Mountain is one of the famous place in Korea even Korean to see good views. If you go to Korea I recommend this place.
