Mechanical acoustic devices has been in existence even before telephone came into existence. Acoustic device in physics can be seen as a tool that deals with mechanical waves in liquid solid and gas. The acoustic device can be used in transmitting music and speech over distance but not to far from where the caller is- more like a stone throw away- other means of telephone includes a long thick pipe, burning of fire, and other physical methods. Perhaps the lovers phone which is also know as the ''acoustic telephone'' has been in existence for centuries, it's like a connect wire which transport sound waves from one person to the other., and it dosen't use electricity.
Few years later on, acoustic telephones became the most used device at the time, and were being sold commercially an became a competitor in the telephone world. Acoustic telephone only lasted for some time before the ''Bell telephone'' came in, this made the acoustic telephone to quickly fade out of business as per lack of competing spirit.
Right from the beginning telephones has been playing a major role in the technology world, thanks top Alexander Graham Bell, because of him we've bee able to connect tot eh world with just a wireless device, browsing the internet, sending and receiving messages, a round of applause for Alexander Graham Bell.

- In 1800's
The world first telephone was a liquid transmitter. Alexander Graham Bell and Elisha Gray were the two inventors who came up with this magnificent plan. Alexander said when he first invented the telephone, the first word he used was
“Mr. Watson, come here. I want to see you.” - Alexander
That was the first word Alexander used when creating a telephone, Boston and Massachusetts were also the cities that started using this device.
- In the 1900's
In the early 1900's the first phones exchanges were completed by a switchboard all through the late 1800’s and turn of the century. Almon B. Strowger fabricated a telephone that could enhance the first automatic telephone exchange and he did this successfully without the help of an operator. Although Strowger filed the first patent for a rotary dial phone in 1891, the dialing devices did not make their way into the Bell System till the 1920’s before it started.
