Take your incendiaries before start: -
5 medium perfectly-ripe yummy tomatoes
5 medium green peppers
3⁄4 cup olive oil
13 tablespoons uncooked rice (really just a 'heaping' tablespoon per vegetable to be stuffed)
1 large onion, chopped fine (about 1 1/2 cups)
3 garlic cloves, minced very fine
1⁄4 cup fresh spearmint, minced (1 1/2 tblsps dried, crumbled)
1⁄2 cup parsley, minced
1⁄2 cup pine nuts or 1⁄2 cup slivered almonds
1⁄2 cup hard mizithra cheese or 1⁄2 cup kefalograviera cheese or 1⁄2 cup parmesan cheese, cut into tiny cubes
1⁄2 cup sultana raisin
1 teaspoon salt
1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
1 1⁄2 cups water
1⁄2 cup olive oil
1 tablespoon tomato paste
salt and pepper
Start with these directions: -
It bites the top of the tomatoes (stays at the top) and carefully pulls out the meat (keeping this form well).
Cut the top of the chilly (put on top) and remove the seeds and membranes.
To keep them comfortable enough to keep tomato and chilies in this place, keep them comfortable enough and give each vegetarian with a little water of sugar with tips of their fingers (I really think it is important! ).
Take tomato meat and process it until pure.
Add olive oil, rice, onions, garlic, mint, parsley, nuts, cheese, sultan, 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (or taste season).
Fill vegetables equally with this mixture and Change to the top of tomatoes and chilies
Mix 1 cup of water and 1/2 cup olive oil, a teaspoon tomato paste and a little salt and black pepper and place it around the vegetarian.
Bake in a preheated 375F oven (180 C) for approximately 1 3/4 hours (vegetables should be easily pierce and slightly black in parts).
Close the oven and leave 'Easy' for another hour before serving.
It is best served at a little hot or room temperature
It is eaten very well with a little bite of faya cheese and a cool glass of white or rose
There will also be delicious juices which are full of crusty bread bits.
In my version, I take 3-4 medium sized potatoes, cut them in large straps, toss a little olive oil with salt and pepper, and in the middle of the vegetables 'plant'
