Happy New Year everyone!! I cannot believe it is already 2022! Time flies. It doesn't really feel like new year this time because it has been flooding in my country and we don't have the festive vibes much. Even today, it has been raining almost all day. However, I am grateful that I am safe which is why I am able to make this post today.
I was out of ideas on what to do for my 2022 cover of bullet journal. Finally I decided to do something simple. I did two pages of covers. I did some drawings and wrote some important things as well.
I just used a black calligraphy pen and wrote everything. I tried to do some calligraphy on the numbers but my calligraphy skills are amateur at best which is why it doesn't look so good. I have seen this trend of writing words in the middle. I tried it here for the first time by writing the word 'new' in gold. I used the same calligraphy pen to draw some flowers at the bottom.
I love glitter so I picked some glitter to colour the flowers.
Well guess what, I changed my mind! I just realized the glitter were all glitter glues which will stain the back of the page where I have done some decoration. So, I picked some glitter pens instead.
I just did some strokes on the flowers to add a pop of colour. Then, I drew tiny blue and silver hearts in the background. I was thinking of snow when I did that. I know, I am weird like that :D By the way, I used every single colour in the set.
Using a black gel pen, I drew this simple drawing of homes, tree, birds and a happy sun in the corner. This reminds me of my childhood.
I coloured the drawing using colour pencils. I just added flat single colours at first.
I coloured all of them in the similar way.
I added more colours to make the artwork look more vibrant. I did some shading as well.
Please ignore my bad handwriting. I made a list of my new year resolution and goals. I also did a wish list which I will reward myself when I get something done. The one I think I can get done soon is to finish a course I am taking. The most difficult one among them is probably monetizing my YouTube channel. I am almost there and I hope I will be able to make it this year.
This is the overall look of my 2022 bullet journal cover. It is colourful enough to cheer me up. I hope I journal more regularly this time.
