Hello everyone! is hosting a weekly Photo Quest and the theme for this week is 'Purple'. I wanted to join and this is my submission for this contest.

This is my entry for the quest. I chose this photo because the flower is the main focus and there are other flowers all around it at the back. I think they add a nice touch of purple although they look like little dots. I didn't want to crop it for that reason because I wanted the other flowers to show up too in the background.
The name of this flower is called Globe Amaranth but it is more commonly known as the button flowers. It is an edible flower and people make tea out of the dried petals. The tea turns out to be a beautiful purple tinted drink that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also packed with antioxidants which are good for our health.

This is a nursery called Cactus Point located in Cameron Highlands, Malaysia. This is the largest plant shop I have ever seen in my life. They had tons of flowers and plants, along with many unique varieties of cactuses. The flowering plants looked so beautiful and vibrant that everyone was taking pictures with them.

This is my little failed attempt to capture the taller looking flower as I thought it will be cool since it was already standing out from the rest.

This is another of my favourite photograph of the flower. We actually used to have this at home but my current home isn't very suitable for maintaining flowers. Perhaps someday when we move I'll be able to get this flowering plant again.

By the way, it is morning in Asia and the day has just started for us so I would like to wish a good morning to everyone. Thank you for hosting this contest every single week. Thanks for dropping by and I wish you a wonderful day ahead.
