This is a note we found on some one's shop in kampala. I was very amazed one day as we had travelled to Kampala international University to speak to students about steemit andcryptocurrency where we found one of a shop with small posters of Bitcoin and a notice that stated
"Bitcoin is accepted here."
We were so amazed where me and my colleague had to stop over that shop and went with curiousity to confirm from the owner of the shop who was seated inside whether it was true that she could sell her clothes and jewelry in bitcoin.
The owner of the business confirmed it to us that she used to exchange bitcoins with her products but later on it became abit tricky because of the recent huge negative flactuations in the crypto world.
We spoke to her about steemit. We first asked her about steemit to check whether she knew about it. Her response was No. I went ahead and explained about the steem-blockchain to her. She was quick to grasp what we were talking about since she was already into cryptocurrency dealing.
Indeed crytocurrency is eating up our nation and people getting more enlightened about cryptocurrency every other day. Am glad and happy to have gotten to learn more about cryptocurrency through my experience on steemit.
I joined Steemit 3 months ago and this encounter of this platform has impacted my life financially, socially and also has boosted my knowledge about cryptocurrency. Who knew i would go to this far with cryptocurrency. Thanks be to Steemit and its founder for having thought it wise to come with such an amazing platform.
I now travel university to University sensitising students about steemit and cryptocurrency as it is layed out in my most recent posts
Thanks for reading and supporting.
Stay tuned for more.
Lets keep steeming.
