Hello friends of Steemit, I hope you are well and that all your investments continue to grow day after day. On this occasion I bring you an anecdote of a trip that some time ago, where I met stories of several people that allowed me to draw several reflections about the current situation of my country.
For those who don't know I was born in the state of Zulia in Venezuela. And its capital city is Maracaibo (although there is another city nearby called Maracay should not be confused) It is considered the most important and economic city of Western Venezuela due to its oil production for the country.
As a result of the serious situation in my country, many of its inhabitants are migrating to other neighbouring countries, such as Colombia. Whose border is a few hours from the city which is Maicao.
And, not surprisingly, I am also thinking of looking for a better opportunity to study and, if possible, work in the neighbouring country. My father is of Colombian nationality and he can ask me for my nationality to make things easier there, but first I must get my apostilled birth certificate and before that I must legalize it in the main registry of Maracaibo, and that's how I visited this beautiful city after many years.
I started my trip from San Antonio, Táchira State, where I currently live, to San Cristóbal and from there directly to Maracaibo. When we arrived at the main registry we found a huge queue of people, I immediately signed up for a list in which I was given the number 324.
I was just getting clearer and my hopes of achieving it that same day were wearing thin, being in the queue I started the conversation with several people of whom I discovered that each one has a different story but the same intention as me.
A young couple about my age of whom I didn't know their names planning to build their future in Ecuador or Peru, she told her boyfriend to watch out for first graders to see what they said, he became the spokesperson for those of us behind him.
Behind me a lady who had already tried days before to legalize the departure of her children who wanted to go to work in Colombia and had not succeeded in doing so, to be honest she did not give us much encouragement, but even so she stood firm with the small possibility of achieving it.
After the friend in the yellow flannel with whom I talked for a while, his intentions are to go to Peru where another friend is waiting for him who has been working for several months and got him a job offer for him too.
The queue ran little by little and around 2 p.m. we were close to passing, when we finally managed to get in together we felt so much satisfaction and tranquility that in a moment we were laughing, which we had not done when we were outside. As each of us left, we said goodbye, each one with a different direction but with the same intention. Now we have to wait 15 days to get the batches out and then apostille them.
