From the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Venezuela
From the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Venezuela, under this slogan the embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran gave the people of Caracas a small sample of the Persian culture, in a series of stands located around the Plaza de los Museos one could appreciate photographs, books, clothing and some objects that perfectly represent this millenary nation. Iran is a Middle Eastern country, whose faith in Islam and mostly in the Shiite branch clearly and precisely mark the way of seeing the life of most of its inhabitants, based on this fact it could be determined that between Iran and Venezuela there are marked cultural, political and social differences, but in reality for years both peoples have been united by a deep feeling of respect, love and admiration.

Desde el Golfo Pérsico Hasta el Golfo de Venezuela
Desde el Golfo Pérsico Hasta el Golfo de Venezuela, bajo ese eslogan la embajada de la Republica Islámica de Irán le regalo al pueblo caraqueño una pequeña muestra de la cultura persa, en una serie de stands ubicados alrededor de la Plaza de los Museos se pudieron apreciar fotografías, libros, prendas de vestir y algunos objetos que representan de forma perfecta a esa milenaria nación. Irán es un país del medio oriente, cuya fe por el Islán y en su mayoría por la rama Chiíta marcan de forma clara y precisa la forma de ver la vida de la mayoría de sus habitantes, partiendo de este hecho se podría determinar que entre Irán y Venezuela existen marcadas diferencias culturales, políticas y sociales, pero en realidad desde hace años ambos pueblos los une un profundo sentimiento de respeto, amor y admiración.
In such a turbulent world where international relations are going through difficult times, Iran and Venezuela clearly coincide in political and economic ideas, this allows the closeness between them to become closer and closer, which unquestionably translates into greater contact between both peoples, which is beneficial for both, since it can generate a very interesting cultural mix. Both peoples have ancestral knowledge, both have a strong fighting spirit and both the Caribbean nation and the one bordering the Persian Gulf have an incredible history, where libertarian deeds, heroes and ideas mark the path of two republics that have the potential to be great in many ways.
En un mundo tan convulso en donde las relaciones internacionales atraviesan momentos difíciles Irán y Venezuela coinciden de forma clara en ideas políticas y económicas, esto permite que la cercanía entre ambos se estreche cada vez más, lo cual indiscutiblemente se traduce en mayor contacto entre ambos pueblos, lo cual resulta beneficioso para ambos, ya que de allí se puede generar una mezcla cultural muy interesante. Ambos pueblos cuentan con saberes ancestrales, ambos tienen un fuerte espíritu de lucha y tanto la nación caribeña como la ribereña del golfo pérsico, cuentan con una historia increíble, en donde las gestas libertarias, los héroes y las ideas marcan el camino de dos repúblicas que tienen el potencial de ser grandes en muchos sentidos.
Touring these spaces and talking with some of those present was gratifying, without a doubt there is a lot of curiosity on both sides to know more about the other and that allows to generate deep dialogues, full of knowledge and where fraternity is present instantly, it is great to have the opportunity to have this kind of approaches, as they allow us to discover new horizons without leaving the city, it would be amazing if these exhibitions were held throughout our national territory and that many other embassies were encouraged to expose and show their cultures, traditions and achievements.
Recorrer esos espacios y conversar con algunos de los presente fue gratificante, sin duda alguna existe mucha curiosidad de ambas partes por saber más del otro y eso permite generar diálogos profundos, llenos de conocimientos y en donde la fraternidad se hace presente de forma instantánea, es genial tener la oportunidad de tener este tipo de acercamientos, ya que nos permiten descubrir nuevos horizontes sin necesidad de salir de la ciudad, seria increíble que estas muestras se realizaran a lo largo y ancho de nuestro territorio nacional y que muchas otras embajadas se animaran a exponer y mostrar sus culturas, tradiciones y logros.
I am sure that, if the peoples of the world would interact much more and politicians would talk less, we would achieve a more lasting peace, since in knowing, respecting and loving each other are the keys to achieve fairer, more effective and serious international relations, where common development would be the main objective and where individual ambitions would have no place. Perhaps this is just a dream, a utopia that can never be fulfilled, but today I open my heart and tell you what this small and simple sample of culture made me feel in the deepest part of my being.
Estoy seguro de que, si los pueblos del mundo interactuáramos mucho más y los políticos hablaran menos, lograríamos una paz más duradera, ya que en el conocerse, respetarse y amarse están las claves para lograr unas relaciones internacionales más justas, eficaces y serias, en donde el desarrollo común fuera el objetivo principal y en donde las ambiciones individuales no tendrían lugar. Tal vez esto es solo un sueño, una utopía que jamás se podrá cumplir, pero hoy abro mi corazón y les cuento lo que esta pequeña y sencilla muestra de cultura me hizo sentir en lo más profundo de mi ser.
I was touring those spaces for a couple of hours, I listened to a talk about Ayatollah Khomeini and spent an afternoon full of good energy and enthusiasm, I know that talking about Iran or my country Venezuela generates many discussions in the world, but on this occasion I prefer to leave aside the political issues and therefore I am left with the satisfaction of learning a little more about how wonderful the Persian people are, as they are men and women of great human quality, an incredible culture and a noble heart.
Estuve recorriendo esos espacios por un par de horas, escuché una charla sobre el Ayatollah Jomeini y pase una tarde llena de buenas energías y mucho entusiasmo, se que hablar de Irán o de mi país Venezuela genera en el mundo muchas discusiones, pero en esta ocasión los temas políticos prefiero dejarlos de lado y por lo tanto me quedo con la satisfacción de aprender un poco más sobre lo maravilloso que es el pueblo Persa, ya que son hombres y mujeres de una gran calidad humana, una increíble cultura y un corazón noble.
