It has been portrayed that the epitome of life is to achieve perfection. Everything we do in life we subconsciously try to make it as much perfect as possible. We want to have the perfect job, live in a perfect country, marry a perfect spouse. Basically, we just want a perfect life and shy away from anything that's imperfect, we dread it. There seems to be something wrong with anything imperfect.

Anytime we see something/someone as perfect, it's just a matter of time until we see the cracks and realise that it or the person wasn't as perfect as we thought.
Yet, we're imperfect creatures with imperfect habits living in an imperfect world. Anything around us is a projection mirror of who we are and reminds us of how messed up we are - human nature is quite volatile, one second we feel ecstatic and another second we hit rock bottom of a murky pool, we feel depressed - Maybe that can explain why we have this nostalgia for perfection. Yet this perfection keeps eluding us simply because it doesn't exist here.
Perfection can't be achieved here because life is in a constant motion of influx and reflux. There has to be some sense of permanency for perfection to happen. Suppose you think that you achieve perfection for awhile when change comes it will destroy it. Our Beautiful Mother Nature depicts this wonderfully, everything is in a constant state of dying and rebirth. There's no point of dying if perfection existed.
Strive For Progress
After all, it is a journey and we're all sharing the stage. The destination is also the same but there are many paths to reach it. The most important thing when on a journey is to keep moving forward and not lose your way. The more you know, the better off you're at anything in life. So, let's strive to become more knowledgeable and keep progressing on the path. Let's make peace with the chaos principle of life and see it as reminder that chasing perfection is a waste of precious time. Anyhow, there's beauty in imperfection.
Strive to become better today than you were yesterday. I know it isn't easy but it's simple. Do things today that will make you a better person in the future. It's way beneficial to be a better person than a perfect person.
When you're better, there's always room for improvement. At least the excitement of the challenge to reach the next milestone will keep you going.
