Estoy muy cercana a mi entrega de corsetería y ya hice mi segundo body, que es una transformación del primero que hice, transformar las bases ya se me hace un poco fácil, igualmente en esta materia nos dan una pequeña orientación de que tocar y que no, por ejemplo, en los calados, pero en mi caso eso es para otro momento, creo que un body de cuello alto con un calado de corazón seria hermoso, o un escote gota, pero tengo que hacer mi base, por ahora estoy trabajando con un talle 42.
Happy Monday, needleworkers! :3 Another Monday of sewing calls us to share our weekly progress. I'm very close to my corsetry assignment and I've already made my second bodysuit, which is a transformation of the first one I made. Transforming the basics is getting pretty easy for me now. They also give us a little guidance in this subject on what to do and what not to, for example, with the lacework, but in my case that's for another time. I think a high-neck bodysuit with a heart-shaped lace pattern would be beautiful, or a teardrop neckline, but I have to make my basic pattern first. For now, I'm working with a size 42.
Para hacer esta transformación use mi body base que copie en un nuevo papel, hay varias cosas que hice tomando en cuenta como quedo el primer body que es bajar escote y hacerle una v, achicar el hombro y subir desde la cadera para que no comprima el cuerpo por completo, también baje un poco la sisa, tengo un dibujo y anotaciones de esto.
To make this transformation I used my base bodysuit which I copied onto a new piece of paper. There are several things I did taking into account how the first bodysuit turned out, which is to lower the neckline and make it V-shaped, narrow the shoulder and raise it from the hip so that it doesn't compress the body completely. I also lowered the armhole a little. I have a drawing and notes of this.
Corte con el papel por encima porque esta vez sí deje el margen de costura, use una lycra que estaba guardando para reciclar, eso es lo bueno de esta materia, me va a dar pie para usar todos esos pequeños trozos de tela que no uso.
I cut with the paper on top because this time I did leave the seam allowance. I used a lycra that I was saving to recycle. That's the good thing about this subject; it will give me the opportunity to use all those small pieces of fabric that I don't use.
Corte frente que es doble, y espalda que son dos partes y a unir con overlock, en este caso debería de tener refuerzo en la zona pélvica pero no se hacerlo, y me dijeron en clases que estaba bien si no lo tenía por ahora.
The front cut is double, and the back cut is in two parts and is to be joined with an overlock. In this case, it should have reinforcement in the pelvic area, but I don't know how to do it, and they told me in class that it was okay if it didn't have it for now.
Unirlo todo es bastante fácil pero los elásticos siguen siendo mi enemigo por ahora, y lo peor es que no tenía tanto, así que medí el que tenía y alcanzaba justo en teoría.
Putting it all together is fairly easy, but the elastic bands are still my enemy for now, and the worst part is that I didn't have that much, so I measured the one I had and it was just enough in theory.
Empecé poco a poco a ponerle el elástico, temo que, si estiro mucho la tela se salga, o que quede arrugadito, recientemente descubrí que hay un pie de costura que hace esto mucho más fácil así que voy a intentar conseguir, pero casi no estoy yendo a once que es donde debería conseguirlo a buen precio.
I started slowly adding the elastic; I'm afraid that if I stretch the fabric too much it will come out, or that it will get wrinkled. I recently discovered that there's a sewing foot that makes this much easier, so I'm going to try to get one, but I'm hardly going to Once, which is where I should be able to get it at a good price.
Después de hacer la primera pierna pase a hacer la sisa, olvide decir que, según yo, era mejor hacer primero la v del escote y después el cuello trasero, eso realmente funcionó.
Para las tiras de escote simplemente cosi el elastico partido a la mitad y lo use como elastico de sosten, debo conseguir de ese tambien jaja
After making the first leg, I moved on to making the armhole. I forgot to mention that, in my opinion, it was better to make the V of the neckline first and then the back neckline; that really worked. For the neckline straps, I simply sewed the elastic cut in half and used it as a bra strap; I need to get some of that too, haha.
Lo lleve a mi clase para presentar con la mitad de las terminaciones jajaj pero no esperaban que esté listo en ese momento, había una gran producción de piezas muy lindas.
Cuando volví a casa terminé de coser lo restante, por suerte el elástico llegó justo.
I took it to my class to present with half the finishing touches done, haha, but they weren't expecting it to be ready at that moment; there was a huge production run of really beautiful pieces.When I got home, I finished sewing the rest. Luckily, the elastic arrived just in time.
En el escote tiene dos tiras que hacen que el escote no se abra por demás, lamentablemente el body quedo chico ya que la tela no estira tanto como mi otra tela, así que tocará hacer uno nuevo antes de mi entrega.
The neckline has two straps that prevent it from opening too much. Unfortunately, the bodysuit turned out too small because the fabric doesn't stretch as much as my other fabric, so I'll have to make a new one before my delivery.
Por el momento no hice a tiempo de ir por más tela, pero si por elástico e hilo negro que ya me hacía falta comprar nuevos conos, seguro haga alguna modificación del escote en mi nuevo body, pero ya les mostrare.
I didn't have time to go get more fabric, but I did get elastic and black thread, as I needed to buy new cones. I'll probably make some modifications to the neckline of my new bodysuit, but I'll show you later.
