IT'S IN THE BLOOD
Video gaming runs in my blood. It's in my veins, flowing and natural. Backed up by history, i came to being at the dawn of the Video Game Crash of 1983. I was somehow destined to be a gamer. For almost 3 decades now, from the mid years of Atari to the early years of NES, i found myself enthralled by the videogame world. It evolved exponentially, on the wee days of playing side by side with my brother , fast forward to this immense online gaming community, we are at the peak of the Massively Multiplayer Online Gaming era.
DO YOU EVEN UNDERSTAND?
Gone were the days of sitting all alone in your couch or in your room, focused on surviving the onslaught of the boss and moving on the next level, reassuring yourself "You can do this, overcome that jumping turtle and save your girl. ;) Things are a lil bit different nowadays, we are almost connected to the internet 24/7, and as technology progresses by, the videogame world is better enjoyed online. The vast online world took gaming by storm, and a new language has emerged with it.
Here are the 4 most infamous terms we gamers use, according to my experience, with a bit of history behind them:
GL HF - "Good Luck, Have Fun"
GG - "Good Game"
OP - "Overpowered"
REKT - "Wrecked"
