Africa is a home to many industrious women which history has made us known and their relevance is highly pronounced, could it be the reason Africa is referred to as mother's land. We all know Men were naturally created to dominant and with strength but when we see a woman taking the same step as one and even doing better with ideas turned into plans and executing them, such a woman should be applauded and it will serve as motivation to many others who had been lagging behind thinking it is a man's world.
In my University days, I met a young lady who had dreams and her stay at the University was noticed, if not by all but the whole faculty and the hostel at large. Blessing Elohor Awhensebe as the name goes was a blessing to those who knew her, She is smart, intelligent and also brillant. I am sure she has a very high IQ if going to be measured. She is a lady who knows what she wants right from inception, she once approached me on how she could secure a First Class Scholarship award given by Delta State Government, that's to say she is a first class product.
`
A Microbiologist by Profession.
She is so sound that even during her Industrial Training, she was accepted to the State Clinic(Aso Rock) and during the Dinner Night, she was presented an Award of Excellence
She is not only sound academically but also engaged in other activities, she went into making of hair for sale, I was deeply amazed how she could create time to do all these while still in school couple with studies. I guess I was among the lazy students so I couldn't manage my time properly.
What a talent, you can see how it was neatly done. Truly, there are women who came to this world not to look but to contribute in any aspect of life.
After school, I thought that was all and she shocked me with another one. She has spent the last two months learning Fashion designing and she showcased the first dress she made. If within two months, she could produce a dress as beautiful as this, indeed there is hope for the country because there are more like her out there.
Join me as I Celebrate one of African's Pride. We can make the best out of every thing even with limited time and resources, We just need to look, plan and work towards it.
