Thursday was again my big stepping day and folks who froze with me during the winter months can enjoy the sun with me as seasons change! The high reached 20 Celsius (almost 70 in freedom units!) marking warmer news days ahead.
Once again, we loaded up our cars with the weekly news and hit the streets to deliver it to 130 businesses all across town.
Heading out in the morning, no more white stuff and the grass is green for a pleasant change. No dandelions yet and the trees barely have buds but we are getting there!
Plenty of brave little flowers making the early showing still raining frost at night at least for a couple more weeks. Love the slightly different shades of these 2 flowery friends.
It was only a couple weeks ago that this scene showed snow falling and snowbanks piled on the sides of the road during this drive in the country.
Looking out the side window, the fields tell a tale. Hay fields are starting to grow their orchard grass, Timothy and alfalfa but are still 13 weeks from first cut. The corn/soy fields are still to be planted but will catch up and be knee high by July.
Downtown is starting to bustle a little more with people out enjoying the warm sun and the first of the live theatre season launching this week.
Speaking of theatre season, we are out of winter so it is time for our second season: construction. How bad is the timing on this project which heavily interferes with the theatre which opened for performances this week?
The vet clinics are very busy this time of year as dogs and walkers come out of hibernation. Love this one that welcomes the visitors of the day with the pet names on the sign.
Looking good from my weekly perch on city hall steps looking north into the blue sky. Flowers have been planted and will be overflowing here and around the small town soon.
Some of these steps were obviously spent in the dog park as my little guy has to have his adventure too. Colours are starting to spring up here too and it will soon be lush and green.
Best way to cap off the day after a round of indoor golf sim? A couple points at the pub. Great to have clients meet us there so the business can pay for them too.
All in all, another great spring day and I have officially made it into the top 250 steppers of all time! Can I break the top 200? Keep tuning in and stepping with me and we will make it.
