It was news day again which means 100% chance of 10k steps and some neat small town views along the way. I had to check in with Mater and take a picture that showed his good side!
I forgot to take my 8am picture from the driveway so I doubled back on my route to give you a look at the weather facing east. Some cool sunshine over the last week has even the more stubborn of trees showing buds and leaves.
A bright blue sky suggests temperatures warmer than 15 Celsius but I will take it! Before long, people will be commiserating about the heat and the bugs will arrive.
The hot rod of the week is again a Mustang! I am not really a Fors guy but have a soft spot for the 5.0 litre Mustangs from the 80s and 90s. This custom job looks ready for some summer road trips.
Downtown in the square, people are enjoying the sun and the shade next to city hall. Looks like it will be a busy summer here with locals and theatre visitors mingling and enjoying the season.
Speaking of city hall, here is my weekly view from the steps looking north. Still not the bustle of the full tourist season as theatre season officially starts Monday next week but a little more feet on the streets.
It was not all sun and breeze. We had the gift of indoor golf with family. Probably the second last visit indoors as we will pivot to outdoor golf imminently! Those days are good for 10k+ steps as well!
It wouldn’t be a proper 10k day without a couple thousand in the park with the dog. He is off in the woods patrolling for rodents as I walk the path that is really starting to fill in with green.
I finished off the day with a well-earned craft beer while watching my favourite hockey team win the first game of the semi finals.
Thanks for walking with me for another 10k steps as I march tirelessly toward the top 200 users of all time!
