The last Weekly Zekely a month ago so I owe you a bit of winter ending adventure! I know sometimes fewer words and more images is preferred so I will keep it brief and fill in the desired details in comments.

Last Time on Your Zekely
A month ago, winter was still battling to stay in power. The sun was starting to offer a little warmth and there was still a white blanket over the dog park.
It still is wintery enough for me at present with milder days with a few more minutes of sunlight each day. The snow is melting nicely now and temperatures forecasted to reach 17 Celsius / 63 Freedom Units may be the end of it all! It has rained a few days after this shot so the park is plenty swampy right now.

Business
Last month seemed like a whirlwind with all the work-related stuff. Always plenty to build and do, then there are networking events piled on top of that. I try and kill 2 birds with one stone by attending business gatherings in order to get out on the town and hopefully build a business relationship or two.
This one was more of a community gathering than a business meeting but same motivation. Support the helpers and sacrifice some downtime for connection.
This is a neat one. I work with the downtown business association who decided to have a job fair for locals to connect with businesses. We counted 500 jobseekers through the doors and the employers were drinking from the firehose before the busy season.
Before you think we are done, one more. This one is a chamber of commerce meeting at a beer shop I have mentioned a few times for #beersaturday It really doesn't get much better than gathering with other business owners, supporting a new establishment and enjoying some free beer in the process!

Did Someone Say Beer?
We had a few brew sessions of our own this month. Brewmaster is headed overseas for a couple weeks vacation so we brewed a couple extra batches so the fridges were full while he is sipping wine. This one is a NEIPA now in kegs and I should get to them in the next week or two.
The weather is slowly dragging itself toward spring but we have dipped below freezing a few times this week. It may mean that golf season is a ways off but indoor golf is still a great time and one of few sports you can drink beer while playing.
I have a backlog of interesting beers to review for #beersaturday because a couple busy weekends have kept me from posting. Fear not as hopefully things will slow down for the next while at least.

Music
I started the month off by heading to the city for a concert. I have seen so many damn concerts over the decades that I have slowed a little as of late. This one brought me out of town because my daughter loves Sloan, I play hockey with one of the guys in the big city, and I had never seen them perform outside of our tournament weekend.
Speaking of hockey tournament music, this past weekend was that weekend. For our act this year, I had to learn some songs one guitar and some on bass as our main bass player couldn't make it this year.
It is quite a trip to head to the city for a couple jams with the guys off in preparation for our show. Time well spent no matter how much gas costs as playing music with the guys is as good as it gets. Funny how many of us have drums sets and amps in our basements.
I have to give you my yearly report on our hootenanny show and hockey weekend. Too much of a story for this update but here is a song I came up with to play in the dressing rooms for fun using an image from our show this weekend.

Spring Rocks!
I will wrap up your Zekely report here before I spill too many spoilers. Thusly, the sun has set on another wild month and I am ready for a little lull before the summer sets in.
Thanks for checking in on all the business, beer and music!
