Countless people have often wondered what it would be like to get plastic surgery. It does not matter who you are or where you live at one point or another there has always been something that you wish that you could change about your appearance. Some people are simply content to live with their appearance. However, an increasing number of people are choosing to have plastic surgery to change what they deem as physical imperfections and to improve their self esteem.
It's less obvious that plastic surgery will improve these subjective factors, such as self-esteem, or happiness.
While plastic surgery can help improve feelings of self-esteem, self-worth, and confidence, those people who expect a complete and total transformation can become disappointed. Therefore, it is important to consult a qualified plastic surgeon about various procedures and options.
“When you're different, sometimes you don't see the millions of people who accept you for what you are. All you notice is the person who doesn't.”
― Jodi Picoult, Change of Heart
As many girls I had complex and zero self-esteem. My problem was that I thought that everyone was better than me, one girl had better nose than me and another - lips. This is very bad and psychological moment, even now I can't beat this completely.
The worst result from it was that I made nose surgery. And I think that now I am looking worse than ever before. I lost my natural look and this is very uncomfortable. Instead that I improved my self-esteem I just get more complex about myself.
Now I miss old me and want to go back and don't change anything in me . But I can't change that anymore. I get some bad and painful lesson and now I am sure that I will never ever do more surgeries.
This is me after 3 days of my nose surgery
Of course I had fun of my bandaged face too
This is me before and after nose surgery
Based on my experience I want to advice everyone to stay away from surgeries. Just be true of who you are, this is the most beautiful and attractive thing in everyone.
So I would agree with what has been said above about surgery and how it may help some who suffer from problems with their self esteem and body image. However, I would not recommend such a drastic approach to everyone. There are certain risks, no matter how small, to having surgery. I would also question why you should need surgery to help you. The best answer to raising your self esteem is to look at your attitudes towards yourself and your appearance and understand what value you have as a person. You are not an object who must look perfect. You are a unique individual, why should you decide that your imperfections, (and we all have them), need correcting for you to feel good about yourself? Do others really care?
