Beautiful Saturday
It was a beautiful Saturday this morning when I woke up at 10.30am. I had a lunch meetup with a friend but I almost felt like sleeping in. I don't get much time to have 'time alone' to myself to do whatever I want with a stressfree mind and the only time I get is always only on a Saturday. But because I haven't met this friend for awhile now, I lazily dragged myself to take a quick shower and prep to head out for Strangers at 47.
I texted my friend to change the venue to this cafe because firstly, it served delicious crepe meals perfect for brunch and lunch. Secondly, it was close to my house. That means I went on snoozing the clock till it was 11.30am.
When I got there, though it was a Saturday, the place was filled with people young and old. This is the first cafe that caters to peeps of various age range. I mean, not to be 'age-ist' or something, but for cafes, you don't usually get people above 50 years old dining in them. Cafes are usually more appealing to young adults and college kids. The parking bays were full so I had to park illegally behind the kitchen of the cafe. In Malaysia, we do that all the time until we regret getting our car clamped. Malaysia Boleh is a term we use to say that 'we as a Malaysian, can do anything' and in this case parking illegally. It's just a phrase to comfort the soul that all is going to be alright.
Strangers at 47
Not sure why the cafe was called strangers at 47, not sure why the number and all but the meals are certainly no stranger to me. I've been here before and it left a good impression and I sorta crave for a good bacon and hashbrown meal.
Hence, I ordered Hen's Crepe. It was grilled chicken, golden hashbrown, bacon, and scrambled eggs cooked inside nicely wrapped with the crepe. I wasn't craving for a caffeine fix so I ordered freshly squeezed watermelon juice which kinda made heads turned because it looked a little girly.
Anyways, after the meal, I had to get home to settle some of my stuff so we left the scene close to 2pm.
Bohemian Rhapsody
At night, I reached the mall a little earlier because I misread the group chat message. So as I was waiting for ,
and
to arrive, I kept hearing people shouting 'HUUUUUUUUUUUU! HAAAAAAAAAAAA'. As I got out of the lift, I saw that a weight competition was going on and men with bulky bodies were walking everywhere. Hahaha, so that's where all the adrenaline shouts were coming from.
Sorry random stuff, back to where we were.
I'm never a fan for movies that talk about the journey and life of a famous artist, entrepreneur etc etc. But there are rare cases where I actually think that movies of these sorts are worthed watching. For example, Bohemian Rhapsody.
I believed most of you who was born in the 70-90s era would've at least heard one of their songs. You know.... 'Weeeeeee arreee da Chammmmpiiooonss my friends..' and many more. This was my first time getting to see the life of Queens and how the band journeyed throughout the whole movie. Though I've known of this band and the name, Freddie Mercury, I wasn't interested in reading up on them because from when I was born, that era was more appealing to the 80s. But sure enough, I did enjoy the movie and how it wasn't draggy and straight to the point. The transitions and pace of the whole movie was good and I would say kudos to the actor for playing the important role of Freddie Mercury.
The other one that caught my attention was the actress, Lucy Boynton. I followed her when she was still at her infant years of acting and first caught glimpse of her in the movie titled Sing Street and I'm glad that this movie was a big break for her.
I really recommend you guys to go catch this movie and if you're a Queens fan, definitely a MUST WATCH.
Well, it was good catching up with my friends. does podcast on
on his profile so you can go check it out as well.
Anyways, it's almost 2am here and I best be heading to sleep. Gotta wake up for church tomorrow and have enough energy to host Teh Tarik Sundays! Goodnight world.
Thank You
