#teammalaysia has always been actively sharing the goodness of Steemit in Malaysia. Our lead, would always be the one to go around organizing talks, building networks and sharing about this wonderful platform. #teammalaysia is where it is today is also because of the effort that he has done to expand the Steemit community in Malaysia. Not forgetting
who also plays the vital role in organizing the 100 degrees (Steemit Introduction) & Steemit Bootcamps to promote and better equip newbies on the Steem Blockchain.
As a proud #teammalaysia member, I'm happy to say that we are one of the strongest community on the Steem blockchain and because we are so united and supportive among one another. We also encourage one another to constantly create good content here.
Made It To The Event!
I wasn't sure if I could've made it to the event yesterday because I was contemplating whether I had the time for it. But you know how #teammalaysia members are.... they have this sort of really really convincing text messaging technique that somehow propels you to say 'YES, I'm COMING'.
This morning I almost thought I couldn't make it because some government officers raided my office because someone reported of illegal software licensing. And if you're Malaysian, truth be told, almost every production house uses pirated software, it's just a matter of whether you've been reported by someone who is out to get you. So boss, be nice to your employees aite? But Thank God everything was settled and I got a call from asking where was I. I knew that I needed to leave my office early to skip the jam.

Q&A
We had to take a last wefie before the guests starts arriving. was there at 3pm to setup and prepare his slides. Really kudos to him for doing this voluntarily.
I still call the Challenge Queen because she is! She has been posting and sending entries in for challenges by Steemians on Steemit. She has been active in a lot of them such as colour challenge. She even hold her own #makemesmile contest weekly! Please head on over to her profile,
if you want to earn some really good rewards from her #makemesmile contest.
Everyone started mingling around and started networking. Gosh... tbh I wasn't quite in the mood to mingle because I was already tired from work and driving. So I just sat down and watch them mingle. And also I went over to help myself with the light refreshments. Tired but food is still a MUST!
It's time to start!
Make 'shure' you're ready!
I'm sorry I had to! Haha, but anyhooo... from
started us off with the basic concept of 'What is blockchain?'. He explained it really well and in the simplest form so that the guests could understand. We definitely don't want to dive right into deep technical stuff when most of the guests are newbies about crypto or have never touch crypto before.
He then went on to explaining how secure a blockchain is, and how blockchain transactions are made. Using metaphors and case studies making sure the guests understood him. Great job !
Steemit Introduction Time
After gave an introduction of what a blockchain is. It was time for the man,
to share about the Steemit blockchain. #teammalaysia is very thankful that
organizes such events to share blockchain projects in Malaysia and Steemit being one of them.
I've been to 's talk several times and I realized that this time, he changed all his slides. It used to bit a little more technical, explaining about the currency STEEM and SBD. What does Steempower do? What is a Witness and all that technical stuff when honestly, most of the time, people come back asking the same questions when they join Steemit.
So decided to change his slide which I thought was a very good move. His slides were more relatable to the audience. Instead of sharing about the Steemit technicalities, he shared the various platforms that you can use on the Steem blockchain to produce your content.
,
,
,
,
and many other initiatives were shared with the crowd because people would want to know what are the options they can do to produce content. It don't have to be JUST BLOGGING. Probably back in the old days of Steemit when we didn't have all the other third party platforms but today, we have so many initiatives out there that cater to many aspects of content creation.
He even shared real life stories of how Steemit has helped community members with fundings, charities and many more. How Steemians with the power of the community help fund a campaign for the needy or to help fund a financial crisis by just upvoting. And it doesn't cost you anything!
I could see the audience able to relate to what he was sharing and many probably had that spark of inspiration to use Steemit in one way or another.
After the talk finished, we handed out some goodies to the guest who hand in the feedback form. and I got to take photos with the goodies but unfortunately there were none left for us.
Proud to be #teammalaysia
I probably have said this many times before, that I'm proud to be #teammalaysia because of how united and supportive the members are. There are really some of the most amazing people you can meet here and it's always exciting to see everyone striving for the betterment of Steemit.
I'm glad that #teammalaysia is growing to be so strong on the Steemit platform and I'm hoping that this will be the future. A hub for content creators from Malaysia to be heard. I'm grateful for the people I've met in #teammalaysia and I can't wait to meet even more. From 11 of us to 1000+ members in a few months. That's something!Come for the rewards, stay for the community
