The grinding is getting fiercer, I must say. At higher levels, you need the best deck combination to be able to compete.In this post I would be talking about the healing and cleanse abilities for tank sustain in battles.
Without further ado, last season the only water healing and cleansing monster I had was Anasth Soothsayer. But I discovered a more formidable and stronger overall tank sustain monster than Anasth, which is Jicarilla the Rime

FEATURED CARDS:
Anasth is excellent with tools like Lookout (protects against positioning attacks) and Dispel (removes enemy buffs).But she lacks the multiplier that Echo provides.
Jicarilla’s kit is more specialized toward pure, overwhelming sustain.That Tank Heal + Rearguard Cleanse + Echo synergy turns her into a defensive anchor that can carry teams through tough, prolonged fights — which is why I chose her over Anasth.
Jicarilla the Rime is a Legendary Water unit from the Conclave Arcana edition of Splinterlands,She is widely regarded as one of the standout cards from that set, especially for defensive, sustain-heavy strategies. At max level as shown above She has a mana cost of 7, Magic attack 1, Armor 1, health 9(solid for a support),and Speed 1.
Core abilities at max level.
At level 1, (Bronze),She has the Cleanse rearguard ability.Cleanse Rearguard (new ability introduced in Conclave Arcana):This lets her remove debuffs (negative status effects) from the backline/rearguard units. Excellent for countering common debuff-heavy strategies.
At level 2, (Silver),She unlocks the Tank Heal abilityTank Heal: She provides healing focused on the tank (frontline unit) each round,helping the team’s primary damage sponge survive longer.This is huge in prolonged fights.
At level 3(Gold),She unlocks yet again another ability called the Phase Ward.Phase Ward — Provides protective effects (phasing/evasion-like utility for allies).
At max level(Diamond),She unlocks her final ability called the Echo.Echo— Her strongest trait: All active abilities (healing, cleansing, etc.) trigger twice per round. This makes her sustain output potentially double that of similar cards.
Before I proceed,let me the talk about how the Echo ability works in details.
What Echo Does! With Echo active:
Tank Heal fires twice per round and your frontline tank gets healed two times every round (each heal is usually 1/3 of max health, rounded down).
Cleanse Rearguard triggers twice per round and the backline unit gets debuffs removed twice, which is incredibly strong against Poison, Weaken, Stun, etc.
This effectively turns her into a sustain machine. In long battles (6+ rounds), the doubled healing and cleansing often make the difference between your team collapsing or outlasting the opponent.
Echo is a powerful passive ability that makes all of her active healing and cleansing abilities trigger twice per round.
This is what makes her so strong — it essentially doubles her sustain output.
Market Value at the moment,this card at max level,goes for $47 and 147.50 DEC/PER day for rentage.
Overall Playstyle:She is a premier sustain and support monster.Not great at dealing damage herself,but she excels at keeping your team alive by cleansing debuffs, healing the tank repeatedly (thanks to Echo),and adding protective effects.This makes her meta-defining in certain formats, especially defensive or control-oriented lineups. Players often pair her with strong tanks and other supports for near-unbreakable teams.
Her Echo ability is game-changing ,it turns good sustain into great sustain.In formats where battles last several rounds (common in many rulesets), the double healing + double cleansing is incredibly hard to overcome.She is often praised as one of the strongest defensive and support cards from her set for a reason.
