Three days ago, I made a post about dual-attack monsters (you can check it here). In that post, I mentioned that my love for them had increased again — all thanks to VITASSENT.
In that battle, he completely stole the show.Even though I won,I was genuinely impressed by his ability,so I decided to rent him right away.
Now that he's in my possession,he didn't disappoint at all. In this tough 3 vs 5 war of attrition,VITASSENT singlehandedly annihilated my opponent's monsters. Absolute beast! These dual-attack monsters are just built different 🔥.
Splinterlands is no walk in the park, but that's what amps up the excitement.A winning strategy weighs stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and beyond. That's why you must factor them all into your deck building. Toss in strong cards to boost your setups, and push hard to rack up as many victories as possible! 🔥

FEATURED CARD:
It's a Legendary Life Unit from the Conclave Arcana: Escalation set — a powerful dual-attack monster (Melee + Magic) with Charge at level 1 aready.
Max level Stats (as shown on the card above)
Mana Cost:9
Melee Attack: 3
Magic Attack: 3 (dual-attack monster!)
Armor: 2
Health: 7
Speed: 5
These are solid base stats for a 9-mana legendary card. The dual attack (both Melee + Magic) is what makes it so dangerous — it can hit hard in two different ways every round.
Key Abilities:
At level 1,(Bronze),it starts with the charge ability.
Charge:VITASSENT can use its Melee attack from any position on the battlefield. This is excellent, it can stay protected in the back row while still outputting its full 3 Melee damage every round alongside its 3 Magic damage.
At level 3(Silver),It gains another ability called the kindred wiill.
Kindred Will,At the start of battle, adjacent units with the Kindred Spirit gains rebirth.
This provides strong team synergy, letting your Kindred/Elemental allies strike earlier and more effectively. It turns VITASSENT into both a carry and a team enabler.
At max level,it gains its final ability called the Armored strike.
Armored Strike,If VITASSENT has armor remaining, it gains an additional physical (melee) attack that deals damage equal to its current remaining armor.
With its base 2 Armor, this means an extra 2 damage attack while it still has armor. As armor gets damaged over time, this bonus decreases, but early in the fight (especially in longer wars of attrition), it effectively gives VITASSENT three attacks in a round:
3 Magic
3 Melee (from Charge)
+2 Melee (from Armored Strike) = 8 total damage potential per round early on.

The battle, ruleset and lineups

The total mana cost of this battle was 25,and you are to choose units from the fire, life and dragon elements.
The rules are;
All units have fury,(deals double damage if the target has taunt).
All units has shield(50% less damage( rounded up) fom physical damage or 0 danage from physical attacks of +1 power).
My Lineup.
Summoner: Elias Max Pruitt (+1 Melee, +1 Armor to all units and + Repair + Cleanse on tank only)
Pos 1: VITASSENT (Tank)
Pos 2: Ironwing Juggernaut (Weary)
Pos 3: Meriput Magician (Tank Heal)
Opponent’s Lineup (All Level 5)
Summoner: Fithe Bladestone (+2 Armor to all)
Pos 1: Ashen Cindergrim (Magic + Opportunity + Painforge)
Pos 2: Cavewise Wayfinder (Melee + Reckless + Ambush + Void)
Pos 3: Nimbledook Scout (Backfire + Inspire)
Pos 4: Portly Cannoneer (Ranged + Inspire + Backfire)
Pos 5: Vicious Giraffe (Melee + Reach + Painforge + Shatter)
Round 1,my opponent monster were at a higher level at least level 5.It was like a mismatch,3 against 5.
Round 2,here is what happened till the very end.VITASSENT became a near-immortal frontliner — absorbing halved physical damage, regenerating armor, healing health, and outputting massive dual-type damage.

Opponent's tank eliminated.
Round 3, for VITASSENT,it became tank heal, repair and strike.

No solution from opponent, game over.

My Final Verdict
This was one of the best possible showcases for VITASSENT in the tank role. The combination of Repair + Tank Heal + Cleanse + Armored Strike created near-immortality, allowing it to absorb everything my opponents fire team threw at it while dishing out massive dual-type damage.
