So like a fool I thought I would transfer some funds from Steem to Hive. I spoke with who said lots of people were using
so I created an account (I haven't paid for anything, do they do freebie accounts?) and then used the information to transfer from Steem to ionomy. My Steem wallet says: 2 days ago Transfer 19.772 SBD to
although I can't see anything anywhere on ionomy regarding the $19.772 SBD so I suppose those funds have disappeared down a black-hole then?
Thank god I never use FIAT for buying cryptocurrencies because the whole process is too insecure for transferring funds ect. At least with FIAT if you sent the cash to the wrong place or put a wrong account number eventually the bank would get your money back but from my experience on two occasions where I have transferred money that's vanished into thin air there's been no recourse whatsoever if something goes wrong you've lost your money.
Maybe I should have kept my paltry funds on Steem?
