Update Bulletin
In the effort to streamline the Poetry Digest we are requesting that any poem you want to be considered for this exclusive Freewrite Digest weekly has somewhere in your post which prompt(s) from freewrite posts were used in your poem. Many writers are now utilizing the #freewritepoetrydigest and #freewritepoetry tags with no ties to the daily prompt. We love to showcase your poetry in the digest as long as your work is inspired by a Freewrite Prompt!

shares with us his favorite poem this week
It is thoughtful and creates an emotional response, and while it comes across as very personal, the message is one that I can certainly relate to. My message to the author is to keep being different, embrace it and someone one day will come along to add the colour. In the meantime, don't worry about what anyone thinks of you, they are probably just as worried about what people think of them.

tugged my heartstrings. She wrote what it feels like to be taunted with stares. All she wants is for someone to actually see the beauty from inside and out, and to be loved unconditionally for all that she is. Everyone needs to look inside each person if they ever want to find their true beauty.

I was sucked into the delicious description of the poet's sensory descriptions of mangoes and even though I haven't had many, her words are sufficient to send me shopping to eat some sweet and juicy mangoes!
This is a combination of "Have You Smiled Today? #38" and a Freewrite Poem using the prompt: coffee.
Not only do we get a beautifully crafted poem, we are educated on the metamorphosis of the cicada. They frightened me as a child (I found one on my bed once making their loud sound when I spent the night at a cousin's in Ohio State as a young child) but the writing is amazing and photos on the cicada's progress are so fascinating!
