Making this publication makes my palate still savor the rich sauce of a well done pasticho.
On Thursday of last week due to work commitments I had to travel to the State of Aragua, specifically Maracay in the Las Delicias Shopping Center.
There the heat and the work in motion did its thing. I was working on a rooftop auditing technology equipment, I felt in a beach climate without the sublime and relaxing landscape of the sea.
I finished the data collection almost at noon, so the hunger was already raging in my stomach.
The manager with whom I went to work, tells me it's time to go to lunch, so we go down to the first floor to find something to eat, to my surprise she chose an Italian restaurant.
Upon entering a warm welcome from a couple of gray-haired gentlemen with undeniably Italian features, they took us inside and gave us the menu.
While we were deciding what to eat they brought slices of bread with a cream that was very rich with a smoky touch and garlic flavor, I tasted it and liked it, I didn't know I ate eggplant, I always refuse to eat it but this cream captivated my palate.
We decided between both of us that we would eat pasticho, when we ordered it the man told us that it was a very good choice because they were just preparing it and they were very fresh.
The Pasticho from Los Spuntino Restaurant in Maracay is the best*, it is just right, it doesn't fall apart when you bite it, it is not hard either, its rich filling of soft and thick meat that mixes with the flavors of the cheese. Its portion is ideal for one person.
I really want to come back, I haven't tasted such a good pasticho in a long time, in the future I would like to try their pasta carbonara or maybe an Alfredo pasta,
