New year is not always as boring as this back in the days
Days when men were still boys, no responsibilities, no commitment, no struggle for money.....
Those days were beautiful days but i am not condemning the life i am living now, it is more of a change in mentality which is not a bad thing, the more we grow the more we learn the more we choose our priority....
I will admit i miss the days of no worries about the future, all i do was just to eat and play, i left the burden and worries for my parent.....
If i were given a chance to relive those days, i will gladly take it...
One of my best new year celebration happened in 2010
Knockout bangers still gives me joy that time and before the year come closer, me and my friends are already saving money, by asking our parent, uncles, sisters and most time i save alot because that month is when siblings and others come home to celebrate with the family..
The new year eve is always the best as we do buy alot of bangers and there is this small bag we all carry around, everyone with his own small bag and what is inside is the knock out, different types of bangers ranging from one sound to two to three to four to five, we have the stick bangers too and we have the bombs...
Our purpose on that day is to scatter the town with knockout, first of all we start with ourselves by throwing those knock out at one another, it was a very risky game we do and i could remember one of my friend threw a banger inside my pocket and dang i was so scared, i could not remove it and had to make sure the banger didn't tear my flesh by using my hands to drag the pocket but i lost the cloth that day because the banger damaged it and that cloth happen to be one of my favorite cloth LOL..
The main plan is to to visit as many churches as possible, so once it is 15 minutes to 12, we stopped the game and find our first target, the moment the clock struck 12, we scatter their premises with bangers and their church boys who are already waiting for that moment also throw knockout at us and the game continues but we don't waste time in one church, we move on to as many as we can, we never get tired easily lol
We do this till dawn before we all go back to our home to sleep, now tell me which new year i can celebrate now that would be as interesting as those days with friends... Those days we threw cautions to the wind and just have fun.....
