In this post I want to share some photos about Mantis. Mantis is a very unique insect, they are often found in grass and trees. Usually different places, different shapes and types of the Mantis. Mantis are predatory insects that prey on other insects for food. They also vary in size, some even as big as the palm of the hand. The hallmark of this Mantis is its triangular head where there are wide eyes on both sides of the head. These eyes are useful for monitoring and also for stalking prey even from the most difficult angles without moving their bodies.
Mantis itself is a type of grasshopper, but Mantis is not a type of grasshopper that can jump, and is also one of the predatory grasshopper family. Mantis have colors that usually match their environment, and in this case they camouflage with their environment and usually they do it as a form of camouflage to trick their prey. This time I got a Mantis with a green color and I can hardly tell them apart by the leaves they live in, they are almost the same color which is very useful for hunting insects like them.
Mantis are a type of insect that is very sensitive to their surroundings, which is what makes them very difficult to photograph. They perceive anything approaching them as a threat. Almost all types of hunting insects have instincts like this. However, with a little patience and hard work, I managed to get a photo of them and I will show it in my post this time.
