The Parable of the Good Samaritan was a story told by Jesus recorded by Luke in Chapter 10 of his book in the New Testament.
The story was about a man traveling from Jerusalem to Jericho got attacked by robbers. The man was beaten half dead and left naked. A priest and a Levite passed by and left him, but a Samaritan which passed by afterwards took pity.
He brought him to an inn and took care of him. The next day, he gave the innkeeper two denarii to continue looking after the man. Then he told the innkeeper that he will reimburse any extra expenses when he returns.
The moral of the story was to not judge a man from their appearance, ethnicity or religion. He might look like a Satanist, but he pray to God five times a day. He might look like a thug, but he helped the needy.
A good Samaritan most of the times doesn't look like your priest, monk, imam or local cop. So never judge a book by its cover.
