Friends, many people today are aware of yoga, and many incorporate yoga practice into their daily lives. Yoga is an ancient Indian discipline, thousands of years old. Thousands of years ago, sages and ascetics practiced it and developed various postures (asanas) that provide numerous benefits to the body and are used to combat various diseases. In recent years, yoga has become popular not only in India but throughout the world, and now people from various countries teach yoga, and many even come to India specifically to practice it. Yoga is important for both our physical and mental health; it is beneficial for both. If you look around today, you will find many different types of yoga, each offering some kind of benefit to the body. The biggest question is which type of yoga to choose, because nowadays, people everywhere will suggest new and different types of yoga. First comes Anulom Vilom. This is a yoga practice that has a positive effect on your body, mind, and soul. This yoga infuses our body with new energy. It's essentially a breathing technique, and if you practice it regularly, you will see many benefits. This is one of the easiest yoga practices, and all you have to do is inhale through the right nostril and exhale through the left, and then inhale through the left nostril and exhale through the right. If you do this consistently, you will see positive effects in your body. Even if you can only spare time for Anulom Vilom, that will be sufficient because Anulom Vilom balances Vata, Pitta, and Kapha in your body. If you have studied Ayurveda and are familiar with Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, you will know that when these three elements are imbalanced in our body, we become susceptible to disease. If these three elements are balanced in our body, no disease will be able to affect us. This is the most important yoga practice, and you should definitely do it.
The second is Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation). Don't let the name mislead you; it doesn't involve actually bowing to the sun. It's a yoga sequence consisting of 12 different poses performed in a specific order. When you perform these poses one after another, many parts of your body benefit. This yoga sequence provides a complete body workout, and if you practice it regularly, you won't need any other physical exercise, even if you're short on time. Surya Namaskar is very beneficial for the digestive system, immune system, reducing mental stress, and many other things. You can find more information about it through videos on YouTube; the videos will help you understand it better.
The third and final yoga pose is Tadasana (Mountain Pose). It's quite easy and offers many benefits. You simply stand straight and stretch your body upwards, raising your arms above your head. It strengthens your spine and stretches your entire body. It helps correct poor posture and improves body balance, among many other benefits. You can find more information about it online on YouTube, where you'll understand it even better. People with sedentary jobs who sit in the same position in front of a computer all day should definitely do this yoga pose. It will benefit them by reducing body stiffness and improving their posture.
