There is a wise saying that goes, “When you feel lost, find yourself in the things you love.” For me, art and the sea are essential. I hadn't been to the beach in over a year, so as soon as I could coordinate my schedule with the tours offered in Chile, a friend and I prepared for a full day of “sand and sea.” However, we ended up with many pleasant surprises.

To begin with, we met up with the tour group at Plaza Ñuñoa, but we'll talk about that in another post, because it deserves it. At 8:30 a.m., we were already on our way to Papudo, along with 25 other people, all with the same smile that describes the excitement of reconnecting with the sea. After approximately two and a half hours, we arrived.
The weather was too cold and cloudy for a beach day, but we were all very optimistic. The guides gave us the necessary information about food, schedules, and other nearby attractions, then everyone chose their own route, knowing that we would meet at 6 p.m. to return to the same place where we had gotten off.

My friend and I got a tour that showed us the entire Papudo beach, and not only that, we also got to see dolphins and sea lions in their natural habitat. It was incredible how, after 10 years, I was back on a boat. At first, I was scared and felt a little seasick, but after admiring the sea, everything calmed me down as much as it did him.

The tour lasted about 30-40 minutes, and by that time the sun was starting to heat up, so before going for a swim, we ate first. We checked out several restaurants, but we went with the one recommended by the guidebooks. We had a delicious hake ceviche and a plate of potatoes with salad and hake. Just remembering it makes me crave it again.

With our bellies full and our hearts content, we headed for our spot on the sand. It was already quite hot, so without thinking twice, we jumped into the water. It was delicious, crystal clear, and the perfect temperature. He finally came out by then, and we had our great day at the beach in Papudo. I would definitely go back. The photos are personal record with a redmi 13.
