Good morning everyone you're welcome to my blog today .
In the world that we live in there are different religions, cultures and people that practice a lot of personal rituals that mean a lot to them personally. In different places some kind of foods are eaten and some kind of food are seen as a taboo to be eaten, well most times it is either by choice or the body is allergic to some of this foods.
Some people are being placed on strict diet because of health conditions like those who are lactose intolerant and who those who suffer from hypertension, diabetes and other life threatening diseases that can turn your meal pattern of up side down and make you eat some specific kind of food and avoid some.
This is my entry for #hivelearners weekly contest edition 1 and the topic is (NO MORE MEAT) I always wonder how some people cope without eating specific kinds of food maybe because of their health or because of their family background or the church they attend a lot of factors influences that.
Just like it is our body and we have the right to do whatever we choose to do with it that is the same way we have the right to eat whatever food we feel is good for us, well as an individual you can make decision to stay away from some particular kind of food and that is something everyone can understand or you have a medical condition that makes you stop eating some kind of food that is also understandable but for the sake of religion is something I cannot understand that one.
But the fact that some people attend some churches or practice some kind of religion that makes them not eat things like crayfish, snail, periwinkle and so many other things that they avoid is something I don't understand. I'm not an overly religious person and when I see these people practice this thing I'm like this particular type of food that you avoiding have certain things that they do in the body based on the classes of food that we have and when you look at it most of them contain proteins.
Let's no move around living hypocritical lifestyle just because we want to portray something else and at the end of the day in our hidden places where nobody sees us we would eat all these things that we claim not to eat. A lot of people have been brain washed these days to potray something else and act in another way or say something else and do something else.
According to the prompt I am not supposed to eat meat again but still have other people around me can eat meat. Looking at it to be honest I don't think it's something I can cope with because I'm an adult now and right from when I was small I was trained up to always eat meat all kinds of meat, to be precise fish ,chicken, Turkey, snail, pork meat, goat meat, cow meat and so many others apart from snakes because some people eat snakes too.
It is not possible that tomorrow would be Christmas and in my house we normally make chicken stew or goat meat stew and everyone is having two or three chunks of meat and I'm the only one who would not eat meat I don't think I can cope honestly I wouldn't say yes it's something I can do because if I do that definitely at the end I would go back when nobody is looking to eat meat, it's not something I can cope with. The fast remain that I would find myself breaking the rules over and over and over. The temptation to have a taste of chicken, meat or fish will not even allow me to maintain my steeze and composure not to eat it because its only a matter of time before I go back to eating meat no matter how hard I I try not to eat it.
If the punishment for eating meat would be me going to jail I guess I'm going there every day that's how bad things would get for me. Well I appreciate this topic in as much as it's okay but I leave that to my imagination when I wouldn't be allowed to eat meat but for now I would enjoy my meat the way I want it well fried and peppered.
This is where I'll be dropping my pen on #hivelearners weekly contest edition 1 thank you.
