Bitcoin: 50k or 150k?
Just want to make you aware of this podcast episode, which in my view offers a very down-to-earth analysis of Bitcoin heading into 2026 by Joe Carlasare. This guy got the 2025 top right so I think its worth to listen. He describes last year as kind of a sideways consolidation of what happened the two year before with ETF launch.
Beyond that, he raises a point I strongly agree with: the 4-year cycle narrative is one of the biggest hurdles preventing Bitcoin from really ripping in 2026. It’s still deeply embedded in people’s minds because it played out that way three times before. But things have changed.
For the first time, we saw a new ATH before the halving. We also saw a down year in 2025, when it was “supposed” to be dark green. In that sense, the cycle theory is already starting to break down. A fresh ATH in 2026 would be the final blow that completely crushes this narrative.
Let’s see how things actually play out, but I’m more bullish than bearish going into the new year. Further rate cuts, midterm elections, and a still-robust US economy create a constructive environment.
What do you guys think, 50k or 150k next for Bitcoin? What is your take on the cycle narrative?
