With the game now completely Free-To-Play, we have taken yet another step towards onboarding web2 users to Hive!
Hope we all agree that the onboarding process is not that easy for Hive chain and most web2 users would rather not play Dungeon Cities than to undergo the process of creating a Hive wallet. Considering this, we have added Google authentication.
If you already have a Hive wallet, you can simply go to ACCOUNT in the menu bar and connect your GMAIL account. Shown in the images below :
Similarly, if a web2 user starts playing the game and creates a Hive wallet in the future, the player can then simply connect his/her wallet to the GMAIL account the same way.
With Google Login, we can now market the game to web2 players. When they get hooked to the gameplay and start wondering how they can start earning, that's when we lead them to a single click Hive wallet creation, a work in progress.
The main challenge we might face in the future is the lack account creation codes but I'm sure the Hive community will help us out when that time comes. So cheers to a bright future!
