Typing on keyboards, on the screens of mobile phones and tablets, using the S-pen, and then signing with an electronic signature or signing by entering a password, drastically reduced the need to use pens, and especially these ballpoint pens, which were given as the first monthly topic of the new year in the #HiveCollectors community.

"Are ballpoint pens a collection?" asked my partner, "You have them at every step, it's not an exclusive concept."
It doesn't matter that we have a lot of them, the important thing is that there are stories behind some of them, which I will try to remember.
And so, the "hunt" for ballpoint pens began.
It was necessary to single out all the interesting ones that we have in our possession.
I say we have, because apart from the ballpoint pens I have in the office, which are only mine, we also have the ones at home.
These are our common ballpoint pens, displayed in this mug which is a souvenir from the Spanish city, but also those that are in boxes and piled up in drawers.

To get to most of those pens, I had a drawer pull over the weekend.
It paid off.
First I would introduce the less interesting ones that I have in this pen holder and notepad stickers, in my office.

Only now do I see that I have two pendants there, which I could have added to the collection of pendants, if I had remembered them 😅
Both brought me colleagues from their travels. This koala is from Australia and this wooden one is from Zambia.
These pens do not have an overly interesting story, I got them all either in the company, from suppliers or from service providers and operators.

I have to recommend the cartridge I have in this pen that I have been using for over 5 years. It is a gel refill and when writing with this type of pen, it is not necessary to press the tip of the pen excessively on the paper.

One of the older ones is this one from the BIC collection.
I don't know how old it is, because they had this design 50 years ago 🙂

I remember when I first started using BIC pens, I wondered why there was this opening at the top of the cap. The answer was - if someone swallows the lid, not to suffocate.

Okay, I only accept if it's a small child. To an adult who would swallow the lid, I would only ask: "Are you normal?" 😀
One of the interesting ones is the one with a wooden body and a tip that reacts capacitively to the mobile phone screen.

Useful, for finer details and more precise movements.
In the laptop bag, there is this one with a quote in Spanish, which I chose for myself, and later I will show you which ones I chose.

I always have these disposable cardboard ballpoint pens with me, light blue to make them easier to spot, but I also lose them when I go to a field or a meeting where I have to write something down.

But since I consider them disposable, when I lose them, I'm not sorry 🙂.
And what of the pencils did I find in the apartment?
In addition to the ones we keep close at hand in a cup from Madrid, we also have plenty of them in our drawers.

There I found a good part of the collection that I present to you today.
Most of those ballpoint pens were received from partner companies, as gifts or advertising material.
I have most of them from telecom operators, probably because I have been in contact with them for twenty years.

I also collected these from my friends' companies or companies where my friends work.

I have a few pieces that I got from the courses I attended, and I also found this red and white one, from some political campaign, that I don't know how it ended up in my closet.

As soon as I publish this post, I throw it in the trash, where the party and the politician it advertises should be!
I have a few ballpoint pens that I have taken from hotels I have stayed at.

I also have two that my partner brought me when she was on business in two top hotels in Belek, Turkey.

Then I was fascinated by the beauty of those hotels, so I'm going to share with you the photos she sent me then.

The design of the pens, black, thin, elegant, as well as the hotels that give them away.
And I also have a pencil for "important" signatures in that collection.

Massive, shiny, smooth. I used it a few times when I signed some contracts and so I declared it the pen for formal occasions.

And those pens, which I bought during my travels, as souvenirs, have a special value.
This one from Cyprus, a pad and a small pen are always within reach, when I need to write down something that I would otherwise quickly forget.

I was in Spain, so I bought this one with the inscription of the city where we were staying.

We bought a lot of these cute pens at Ale-Hop stores, and when I mentioned that I was carrying one that said "Be the best version of yourself" in Spanish, I chose it for myself from a bunch of equally interesting motivational quotes.

Which quote (and also the color of the pen) would you choose for yourself?

I hope you like the collection of pens I have, again maybe a little bigger than it should be, but that's me, so no wonder 😂
But I'm definitely missing one ballpoint pen, which I've seen in older Hive posts, that I'll probably add to my collection in the future - the ones with the Hive logo 😀
