After getting back to the base to regroup with my allies, I spoke with Erend, Varl, Zo, and Alva. Then I consulted GAIA about the mission's complexity. Aloy ultimately convinced Beta to join the team by sharing the memory of Ross and their differing upbringings.
After the race on the beach, I started riding towards the base to meet GAIA. On the way, I was fascinated with the beautiful details of the dense forest as the sunlight filtered through the trees.
I noticed the map was working fine again, so I stopped at a campfire to use fast travel. This allowed me to bypass the long trek and get back to the base much faster.
After fast traveling to the closest campfire, I approached the mountain entrance. I climbed up the steep rocks using a rope to reach the main entrance of the facility.
The first thing I did after getting inside was check on Erend. He was talking as if he already knew every single detail about my recent adventure on the island.
Then I talked to Varl and Zo, who were both glad that the mission on the island was a success. They confirmed they were ready for the next mission we would have to do together.
I went to check on Alva, who looked completely fascinated by all the technology around her. She had just received an upgraded Focus from Zo, and Aloy suggested her to take it slow.
I visited GAIA to discuss our next approach to the Zeniths. GAIA explained the complexity of the mission, and Aloy suggested that having Beta's help would make everything much easier.
Before going to see Beta, I used the drone terminal to upload the surveillance drone data that I collected this data from the island.
I went to Beta, but Varl mentioned she was not acting very positive about helping. Aloy tried to convince her, but Beta remained stubborn because she felt she was nothing like Aloy.
Aloy used her Focus to show a hologram of Ross to explain their differences. She wanted Beta to understand that the only real difference was that Aloy had Ross to raise her.
After Aloy tried all her convincing tricks, she sat close by as the hologram of Ross faded from the room. The emotional weight of the memory seemed to hang heavy between them two.
Aloy told Beta she didn't have to join the mission and started to leave the room. However, Beta finally spoke up and said she would join them after all, having been moved by Aloy's words.
The next post will be coming soon. Screenshots are my take from the game and I took the game logo that I used on the thumbnail picture from online.
SEE YOU.
