How to know who is the good or the bad guy, how to know that this story is real, could it be that we were idolizing the wrong person, who is right, who is telling the truth.
All these questions came to my head, as I watched each episode, of this series, based on the life of the British monarchy, Queen Isabel and her family, surely more than one of you know which series I'm talking about, The Crown, recently premiered its fifth season, which many of us were eagerly awaiting, and I tell you, I did not expect all this, or maybe yes, I do not know, I just know that I felt they only showed us what they wanted us to see, a half-truth.
This series began in 2016, by that time I had not paid attention to it, it was last year that I sat down to watch it, and I saw every episode, every season, in which they showed us the beginning of the reign of Queen Elizabeth, there is no doubt that this world is completely absorbing, from the beginning they prepare you for what you will do in the future, you have no choice, they choose for you, already with the simple fact of belonging to the royal family, you have your whole life done, and decided.
Here we can see a little bit of everything, from drama, political rivalries, the struggle for power, to maintain a good image, to show how strong they are, either as a family or as people, how difficult it must be all that, having to repress your feelings, emotions, ideas, not being you, but what others expect you to be, it must be a constant agony, having to pretend to be that perfect person, flawless, worthy of admiration and respect.
I confess this fifth season came with everything, here it shows us a more updated time, in the 90's, when Princess Diana and Prince Charles began to have problems, and all the scandals that surrounded them, until ending their marriage. It was certainly a very hard and turbulent time for the monarchy, with so much drama, separations, cheating, in short.
One of the things that caught my attention was the before and after that we were shown, with each scene, especially how the Al-Fayed family came into Princess Diana's life, among other historical facts, which good, the truth was unknown, or maybe I had heard or read, but here they showed it vaguely, are those little details, that make you curious, to want to know a little more about this world.
I assumed that in this season we would see a little more in depth what was Lady Di's life, and how she became that woman so admired and loved by all, but, on the contrary, they showed us a completely different woman, full of doubts and insecurities, complicated, making us believe that she was the problematic one, the one with the problem, that everyone was right and she was wrong, this is where I say, but convenient all this, when she is not there to defend herself, and tell her side of the story.
I'm not lying to you, the series was good, it's worth every chapter, it keeps you intrigued, interested in wanting to see, how they will be telling each fact, especially this love triangle between Prince Charles, Camilla and Princess Diana, is something we can see, among them the role of Camilla, I didn't think they would show her so much, but how not to do it, if she is always part of the prince's life, she was always there, between the two of them.
I know we will never know how the events really happened, but it makes me curious, seeing Diana's life in this synopsis, everything she had to go through, it must not have been easy for her, including her children, no doubt the life of these monarchs is not as wonderful as they paint it, after all they are human beings just like us, who also have their conflicts, between partners, parents, it is a burden, which is hard to carry and keep afloat.
We cannot deny that this season had great performances, the role of the queen played by Imelda Staunton, was impeccable, I know she acted in the famous Harry Potter series, but here we see her play a more serious role, energetic, strong, a woman with a unique temper; on the other hand, Elizabeth Debiki, playing the role of Diana, more than impeccable, it was impressive, the resemblance, the gestures, her facial features, in short, although in this part if I notice that they exaggerated a little by showing us Diana always with her head down, I know this was one of her features, but here it was very evident.
It can not be denied that the series is well done, with excellent scenes, and spectacular scenery, set in those huge castles, with historical and cultural facts, where we reflect this monarchy so passionate and respected by the English, not to mention the costumes, seeking to make it as close to the real thing, here we visualize a little of what was that famous dress of Diana, which called the attention of all at that time, known as the dress of revenge.
This is not a series full of action, with a lot of drama or suspense, on the contrary, it is based on giving us to know a little about the life of these characters, about what it means to live in this world so imperial, and the monarch dynasty, all the responsibilities that entails, and that they are not as perfect as they make us see, but as I said before, here they only show us what they want you to see, but what will be the reality, how true or false there is in all this, well only they know.
What I could notice, is that they insisted on showing us a confident, good, dedicated, concerned Prince Charles, this reminded me of the publications that came out when the Queen died, and how heir, showed acts that left much to be desired, and that Charles, good, polite and attentive is far from this fiction, so this is where I say, nothing is what it seems, and this falls in contradiction to the attitude we have seen of him today, and with respect to the performances, the actor who portrayed him, not even in that they are similar, by the way.
It's hard to believe that with time they still stand, with their customs, traditions, titles, all that encompasses, this is something that, despite the decades, still stands, they have struggled to maintain, and have their status, as well said the queen Imelda Staunton, is a position for life.
I do not say it was one of the best seasons, but it was not bad, I would have liked to see a little more about certain important events that reflected us there, but only two gave us like a pique hahahaha, it was not bad, it is time to wait how they will continue to develop all this, the million dollar question, will they show the death of Diana, what will they tell us about this, well I guess we must wait, how they will tell it, but, above all, what other things will they expose us about the royal family.
If you like this world of the monarchy and its customs, charges, you can not miss this series, and if you do not like it, no matter, it's a different touch, it's worth watching a little, thanks for reading me so far.

Como saber quién es el bueno o el malo, como saber que es historia es real, será que estábamos idolatrando a la persona equivocada, quien tiene la razón, quien dice la verdad.
Todas estas interrogantes venían a mi cabeza, a medida que veía cada episodio, de esta serie, basada en la vida de la monarquía británica, la reina Isabel y su familia, seguro más de uno saben de cuál serie les hablo, The Crown, hace poco se estrenó su quinta temporada, la cual muchos la estábamos esperando con ansia, y les digo, no me esperaba todo esto, o quizás sí, no lo sé, solo sé que sentí que solo nos mostraron lo que ellos querían que viéramos, una verdad a medias.
Esta serie comenzó en el 2016, para ese entonces yo no le había prestado atención, fue el año pasado que me senté a verla, y vi cada episodio, cada temporada, en el cual nos mostraban el inicio del reinado de la Reina Isabel, no cabe duda que este mundo es completamente absorbente, desde un principio te preparan para lo que vas a hacer en el futuro, tú no tienes elección, ellos eligen por ti, ya con el simple hecho de pertenecer a la familia real, tienes toda tu vida hecha, y decidida.
Aquí podemos ver de todo un poco, desde el drama, rivalidades políticas, la lucha por el poder, por mantener una buena imagen, demostrar que tan fuertes son, ya sea como familia o como personas, qué difícil debe ser todo eso, tener que reprimir tus sentimientos, emociones, ideas, no ser tú, sino lo que los demás esperan que seas, debe ser una constante agonía, el tener que aparentar ser esa persona perfecta, intachable, digna de admirar y respetar.
Les confieso esta quinta temporada vino con todo, aquí ya nos muestra una época más actualizada, en los años 90, cuando la princesa Diana y el príncipe Carlos empezaron a tener problemas, y todos los escándalos que los rodearon, hasta terminar con su matrimonio. Sin duda fue una época muy dura y revuelta para la monarquía, con tanto drama, separaciones, engaños, en fin.
Una de las cosas que más me llamo la atención fue el antes y después que nos mostraron, con cada escena, sobre todo como llegaron los Al-Fayed a la vida de la princesa Diana, entre otros hechos históricos, qué bueno, la verdad desconocía, o quizás había escuchado o leído, pero aquí lo mostraron vagamente, son esos pequeños detalles, que te dan curiosidad, por querer saber un poco más sobre este mundo.
Supuse que en esta temporada veríamos un poco más a fondo lo que fue la vida de lady Di, y como se convirtió en esa mujer tan admirada, y amada por todos, pero, al contrario, nos mostraron una mujer completamente distinta, llena de dudas e inseguridades, complicada, haciéndonos creer, que ella era la problemática, la del problema, que todos estaban bien y ella mal, es aquí donde yo digo, pero conveniente todo esto, cuando ella no está para defenderse, y contar su lado de la historia.
No les miento, la serie fue buena, vale la pena cada capítulo, te mantiene intrigado, interesado en querer ver, como van a ir relatando cada hecho, sobre todo este triángulo amoroso entre el Príncipe Carlos, Camila y la princesa Diana, es algo que podemos ver, entre ellos el papel de Camila, no pensé que la mostrarían tanto, pero como no hacerlo, si siempre forma parte de la vida del príncipe, siempre estuvo allí, entre los dos.
Sé que nunca sabremos cómo sucedieron los hechos realmente, pero me da curiosidad, al ver la vida de Diana en esta sinopsis, todo lo que tuvo que pasar, no debió ser fácil para ella, incluyendo a sus hijos, sin duda la vida de estos monarcas no es tan maravillosa como la pintan, a final de cuentas son seres humanos iguales que nosotros, que también tienen sus conflictos, entre parejas, padres, es toda una carga, que cuesta llevar y mantener a flote.
No podemos negar que esta temporada contó con grandes actuaciones, el papel de la reina interpretado por Imelda Staunton, fue impecable, sé que ella actuó en la famosa serie de Harry Potter, pero aquí la vemos representar un papel más serio, enérgico, fuerte, una mujer con un temple único; por otra parte, Elizabeth Debiki, interpretando el papel de Diana, más que impecable, fue impresionante, el parecido, los gestos, sus rasgos faciales, en fin, aunque en esta parte si note que exageraron un poco al mostrarnos a Diana siempre con la cabeza agachada, sé que este era uno de sus rasgos, pero aquí fue muy evidente.
No se puede negar que la serie está bien hecha, con excelentes escenas, y escenarios espectaculares, ambientados en esos enormes castillos, con hechos históricos y culturales, donde nos reflejan esta monarquía tan apasionante y respetada por los ingleses, sin dejar de mencionar el vestuario, buscando hacerlo lo más parecido a lo real, aquí visualizamos un poco de lo que fue ese famoso vestido de Diana, el cual llamo la atención de todos en ese entonces, conocido como el vestido de la venganza.
Esta no es una serie llena de acción, con mucho drama o suspenso, al contrario, se basa en darnos a conocer un poco sobre la vida de estos personajes, sobre lo que implica vivir en este mundo tan imperial, y de la dinastía monarca, todas las responsabilidades que conllevan, y que no son tan perfectos como nos hacen ver, pero como les comente antes, aquí solo nos mostraran lo que ellos quieren que uno vea, pero cuál será la realidad, que tan cierto o falso hay en todo esto, bueno solo ellos lo saben.
Lo que, si pude notar, es que se empeñaron en mostrarnos a un príncipe Carlos confiado, bueno, entregado, preocupado, esto me hizo recordar a las publicaciones que salieron cuando la reina falleció, y el cómo heredero, mostró actos que dejaron mucho que desear, y ese Carlos, bueno, educado y atento se aleja mucho de esta ficción, entonces es aquí donde digo, nada es lo que parece, y esto caen en contradicción a la actitud que hemos visto de él hoy en día, y con respecto a las actuaciones, el actor que lo represento, ni en eso se parecen, por cierto.
Es difícil creer que con el tiempo aún se mantengan, con sus costumbres, tradiciones, títulos, todo lo que engloba, esto es algo que, a pesar de las décadas, sigue en pie, han luchado por mantenerse, y tener su status, como bien lo dijo la reina Imelda Staunton, es un cargo para toda la vida.
No digo que fue una de las mejores temporadas, pero no estuvo mal, me hubiera gustado ver un poco más sobre ciertos eventos importantes que nos reflejaron allí, pero solo dos dieron como un piquito jajajaja, no estuvo mal, toca esperar como seguirán desarrollando todo esto, la pregunta del millón, mostraran la muerte de Diana, que nos contaran sobre esto, bueno supongo que debemos esperar, como lo relataran, pero, sobre todo, que otras cosas nos expondrán sobre la familia real.
Si te gusta este mundo de la monarquía y sus costumbres, cargos, no puedes dejar de ver esta serie, y si no te gusta, no importa, es un toque diferente, vale la pena verla un poco, gracias por leerme hasta aquí.
