A perfect example is Florida, where Casey DeSantis is running for governor, but Byron Donalds is clearly going to win, right? He's running with Trump's support.
Now, Trump has remade the National Party much more in his image than, well, you can laugh, but, you know, like, I mean, I was a delegate to the 2008 freaking McCain convention, and I could probably do it without the same party. It's not the same party as it was. Just this week, like, or two weeks ago in Georgia, right? Like, a group of people I've been working with for the better part of a decade have finally took over the treasurer position in one of the important, like, republics, and they still don't have fucking access to the book because the former treasurer refused.

I've watched state parties absolutely lock out and hold a quorum, like an illegal quorum, in order to maintain the party leadership. I agree with you.
