A Nigerian seeing this question will first of all laugh out loud. Why? Introducing Forex and crypto into schools, as things currently stand in Nigeria, is primarily going against the law governing the country because even till this year, 2026, it is still a taboo to do crypto in Nigeria according to the law enforced by the government some years ago. Unfortunately, they seem to have forgotten that they placed a ban on crypto, and none of them is thinking of lifting the ban.
But nevertheless, under normal circumstances, things that will help life should be studied in school and not all the unnecessary subjects and topics we have today. This has been an ageless argument that is not ready to come to an end anytime soon.

Forex and crypto are what a lot of Nigerians are using to earn a living in this tough economy, and it is really a good idea if they could be introduced into the school curriculum. And please, they should not be taught shabbily but in depth, although only to students who choose to learn them(for course selection—university level). I.e it should not be made compulsory in university level.
Thinking deeply about it, even if these courses are introduced and made compulsory for every student, especially at the junior levels—just the way Mathematics is compulsory—it will produce a lot of people who will not have to depend solely on employment after they graduate.
You know, most of us see crypto and Forex as very difficult things, but meanwhile, when we understand the ideas behind them and how they work as we grow up, they will become easier and our interest will pick up naturally. Even me, I still see the two of them as very difficult things, especially with the too many confusing charts and the fear of losing money. This is why I have not thought of venturing into them, but it will be a different story for students who learn them in school as basic subjects.
It is really a nice idea for these to be introduced into the school curriculum, and in a situation where it looks like the courses or subjects are too many, some of the so-called “irrelevant” subjects should be taken out for crypto, Forex, and other life-changing subjects to be introduced.
But then, just like I stated in the first paragraph, not all countries or governments see this the way we do. Most governments see this kind of thing as an introduction to more crime in society, especially with the rate at which cybercrime has increased and is still increasing. But then, the world right now has gone digital, and people—starting from the school level—need to know the basics of cryptocurrency and how it works.
I have friends who have shown interest in blogging on this platform, but the talk of earning in crypto turns them off. They cannot stand anything crypto, and it is very disheartening. Imagine someone winning $1 million and getting duped because they do not know how to receive the money, which was to be sent through crypto, and the person sought help from someone else and ended up getting duped in the end. So bad!
