I’ve been thinking about how to start this post, and I’ve come to realize that introductions are never really simple when your life has taught you so much. So instead of trying to sound perfect, I’ll just be honest — this is my story.
My name is Lucy Terdoo Ali, and I’m from Abuja, Nigeria 🇳🇬. I joined Hive with a genuine desire to share my journey, connect with others, and grow in a space where stories, creativity, and authenticity are valued. I was introduced to the Hive blockchain by 
Growing Up
I grew up in a family of four children. I am the third born, with one sister and two brothers. Growing up in the middle taught me a lot — how to observe, how to adapt, and how to quietly find my place. My upbringing was simple, rooted in family, faith, and values that continue to shape who I am today.
Like many people, my childhood wasn’t without moments that changed everything.
A Turning Point
At the age of fourteen, I lost my father.
That experience changed me in ways I didn’t fully understand at the time. It pushed me to grow up faster, to become more reflective, and to lean into faith when life suddenly felt uncertain. Loss introduced me to strength I didn’t know I had and taught me that even in difficult seasons, life continues — and so must we.
Learning to Live With My Body
As life unfolded, I also came to understand that I live with idiopathic scoliosis. This part of my journey taught me patience and self-awareness. It helped me learn how to be kinder to myself and reminded me that confidence isn’t about perfection, but about acceptance and resilience.
Education & Purpose
I studied Mass Communication, where my love for storytelling and expression deepened. Writing became more than a skill — it became a way to process life and understand people.
I’m currently pursuing a Master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy, with interests in human rights, gender issues, and social development, particularly within Africa. I’m drawn to conversations that explore people, systems, and the stories often left untold.
Creativity & Entrepreneurship
Beyond academics, I’m an entrepreneur. I run a brand called Luce, focused on natural drinks and snacks, fashion, and a future foundation centered on impact. Luce represents my belief that creativity and purpose can exist together — that what we build should mean something.
I enjoy writing, reflecting, journaling, and sharing thoughts about growth, faith, boundaries, and becoming. Writing has always helped me make sense of life — especially the quiet, confusing parts.
