Inside the greenhouse...the tropicals and subtropical plants are doing well. We keep shade cloth over the dome to keep the temps in the tropical range. Today....we are harvesting San Pedro for propagation

Huge rains! So much life!!!! Pure joy!
Huge rains last night! Our backyard waterfall and pond/ water reservoir area filled up! The spillways worked perfectly and released ponding water into lower parts of the yard. It all drained out by morning.

The figs are ON in Southern Utah! This is the kadota variety.
We have four fig trees in our food forest. The hardiest and biggest producer...by far...is the kadota fig. Year after year...she puts off dense crops. The birds tend to leave them alone which I’ve wondered

The grapes are ON in Southern Utah!
We have multiple grape vines growing in our food forest and the Thompson seedless grape is always first to ripen. Super sweet grapes! They handle our heat well and are very reliable as far as harvests.

The cherries began changing colors almost overnight!!! We woke up today to a flush of reddening cherries! The Van cherry variety was the first to ripen. The Bing and Rainer cherries aren’t far behind.
