Here we are on a new adventure in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. In this beautiful city, there are always new places and things to explore, and most of the tourist attractions are located in the center, including museums, monuments, and much more. So, let's walk through the streets of the capital and also visit the museum of illusions, which looks extremely fun and educational on the internet.

Aquí nos encontramos en una nueva aventura en Lisboa, la capital de Portugal. En esta hermosa ciudad siempre hay lugares y cosas nuevas por explorar, además de que gran parte de las atracciones turísticas se encuentran localizadas en el centro, museos, monumentos y mucho más. Así que vamos a caminar entre las calles de la capital y también visitaremos el museo de la ilusión que en internet se ve extremadamente divertido y educativo.

LISBON

Well, we are in the heart of tourism, Baixa-Chiado, Cais do Sodré, Bairro Alto, and a few minutes from Alfama. Just walking down the streets, we can take photos because, architecturally speaking, we find very old buildings full of history. For example, we pass by the oldest library in the world, and we can even see the Guinness World Record certificate, so if you're a bookworm, you have to go inside this library, but I warn you that it's always crowded and there's a line to get in. If you're wondering how to get to where we are right now, there are many options, including the metro, tram, buses, and tuk-tuks. The only downside to these areas is that the streets are extremely narrow and the traffic is crazy, making it very difficult to drive and even worse to park, so my first piece of advice is to take the metro to save yourself a headache.

Specifically in terms of location, many of the photos are from Chiado, with its many shops of different brands, eccentric restaurants, urban art, and history. This part of Lisbon even got its name from Antonio Ribeiro Chiado, who was an eccentric poet and creator of satirical poetry in the 16th century. The truth is that this area represents a little bit of everything, as it is a mixture of a little bit of everything. Opposite the art gallery and next to the metro station, we can see a monument to him and a little of his history. This man was not born in Lisbon, but in Evora in 1520, and he died in 1591. Despite being born in northern Portugal, he lived for many years in the capital, specifically in the Chiado area.

Bueno, nos encontramos en el corazón del turismo, baixa-chiado, cais do sodre, barrio alto y a unos minutos de alfama. Solo en las calles ya podemos fotografiar porque, a nivel arquitectónico, nos encontramos con edificios bien antiguos y llenos de historias. Por ejemplo, pasamos cerca de la biblioteca más antigua del mundo, incluso podemos ver el certificado del récord guiness, así que si eres un come libros tienes que entrar en esta librería, pero ya te advierto que siempre está llena y con fila para entrar. Si te preguntas como puedo ir a donde nos encontramos en estos momentos, hay demasiadas alternativas, desde metro, tranvía, buses y tuk tuk, lo único negativo de estas zonas es que las calles son extremadamente angosta y el tránsito es una locura, muy complicado conducir y estacionarse peor todavía, así que mi primer consejo es ir desde el metro para ahorrarte dolores de cabeza.
Específicamente en cuanto localización muchas de las fotos son de en Chiado, muchos comercios de distintas marcas, restaurantes excéntrico, arte urbano e historia, representa esta parte de Lisboa incluso su nombre nació en referencia a Antonio Ribeiro Chiado que fue un poético excéntrico y creador de poesía con sátiras en el siglo XVI, la verdad que esta zona representa un poco, ya que es una mezcla de todo un poco. Frente a la galería de arte y al lado de la estación de metro podemos observar un monumento de él y un poco de su historia, este señor no nació en Lisboa, sino en Evora en 1520 y falleció en 1591, a pesar de nacer en el norte de Portugal, él vivió muchos años en la capital y exactamente en la zona de Chiado.

MUSEUM OF ILLUSION.

Now let's talk about our experience at the Museum of Illusion located in Chiado. First, I'd like to mention that it's not free; admission is €14, and the visit lasts about 30-40 minutes. You must make a reservation in advance. You have to schedule a desired time for your visit, which you can do either online or directly at the museum. Why do we need to schedule in advance if it's just a museum? Well, there are many interactive exhibits, especially photography, so you will have a guide explaining how the museum works in general, and at the interactive centers, a staff member will help you visualize the illusion.
*We have seen many of the activities, either online, at school, or even at home, such as the eye-tracking paintings, which are paintings designed to trick the human eye and create the illusion that the eyes in the painting are following you. The secret of this visual deception is that it plays with physics and creates a backup within the painting that would be the eyes. By playing with physics and your position, you will believe that the eyes are following you, but the reality is that they are not.
The cloned mirror—I didn't know about this one. Here we have a game with mirrors that will clone your reflection. This is purely a matter of mirrors and physics. Two mirrors at 60 degrees with a hexagonal table will cut your reflection. Mirror tricks are famous among magicians, but the real magic lies in physics and playing with the human eye.
You can also see different pictures that, due to their position, may appear to be tilted, different sizes, or even moving or twisting their lines, but the truth is that all the lines are the same, as are the sizes. The trick is in the position and image distortion created by physics, either by placing something in the background or moving its position by a few degrees.

MUSEO DE LA ILUSIÓN.

Ahora vamos a hablar de nuestra experiencia en el museo de la ilusión localizado en Chiado. Primero me gustaría informar que no es gratuito, tiene un valor de 14 euros la entrada y cuenta con una duración de más o menos 30-40 minutos, es por previa cita. Tienes que agendar una hora deseada de visita, que puedes hacerlo tanto por internet o directamente allá. ¿Y por qué necesitamos agendar previamente si es solo un museo? Bueno, es que cuentas con muchas cosas interactivas, sobre todo de fotografía, así que tendrás un guía explicando en general cómo funciona el museo y en centros interactivos un trabajador te ayudará a que puedas visualizar la ilusión.
Muchas de las actividades las hemos visto, ya sea en internet, escuela o incluso realizadas en casa, como los cuadros de los ojos que siguen, que se trata de un cuadro de pintura que está realizado para engañar el ojo humano y crear una visión que los ojos del cuadro te están siguiendo. El secreto de este engaño visual es que juega con la física y creando un backup dentro del cuadro de pintura que serían los ojos. Jugando con la física y tu posición, creerás que los ojos te siguen, pero la realidad es que no lo están.
El espejo clonado, la verdad es que de esta no sabía. Aquí ya tenemos un juego con espejos, que clonará tu reflejo. Aquí tenemos un trabajo solo de espejo y física. Dos espejos a 60 grados con una mesa hexagonal cortarán tu reflejo. Los trucos con los espejos son famosos al utilizarlo las personas que hacen magia, pero la verdadera magia está en la física y jugar con el ojo humano.
También podrás ver distintos cuadros que por sus posiciones pueden parecer que están inclinados, diferentes tamaños o incluso moverse o torcer sus líneas, pero la verdad es que todas las líneas son iguales y también los tamaños, el truco es en la posición y la distorsión de imagen que crea la física, ya sea colocando algo de fondo o moviendo su posición por unos grados.

DARK GALLERY.

*Now we enter the favorite part of the museum, which is the interactive section, ‘Dark Gallery.’ In this area of the museum, you will notice several games with your eyes and your camera. There are paintings that change design when the lights are changed, allowing you to see different landscapes. My favorite interaction is the rotating spine, which, with the movement of the background image, creates the sensation that the bridge is moving, creating an incredible illusion that even makes you dizzy. Incidentally, these illusions are also used in Hollywood to create the illusion that the environment is moving.
In the photographic interactions section, you will find the mirror room, hypnotic spirals, the infinite portal, and my favorite: the infinite portal, which creates the illusion that you are passing through a portal from your camera, again using the trick of mirrors and images.

DARK GALLERY.

Ahora nos adentramos a la parte favorita del museo que es la de interacciones, 'Dark Gallery' En esta zona del museo ya notarás varios juegos con tus ojos y tu cámara fotográfica. Tenemos unos cuadros de pinturas que cambian de diseño cambiando sus luces puedes observar distintos paisajes, mi interacción favorita del espinal giratorio que con el movimiento de imagen de fondo crea una sensación de que el puente se está moviendo haciendo una ilusión increíble que incluso marea, por acaso estas ilusiones son realizadas en Hollywood también para hacer una ilusión que el entorno se mueve.
En la parte de interacciones fotográficas puedes encontrar, el cuarto de los espejos, espirales hipnóticos, el portal infinito y mi favorito: el portal infinito que hace la ilusión de que estás pasando por un portal desde tu cámara fotográfica, teniendo nuevamente el truco de espejos e imagen.

Terminando el museo, puede hacer una sesión de fotos con tu amigo, pareja o familiar, en el cuadro de al revés que parecerá que estás en el lado contrario, fusionar tu rostro con otra persona, la ilusión de la cabeza que ya la hemos visto mucho en películas.
