Thank you for your input. I have not defoliated a citrus tree. It might be better to defoliate in summer when the tree is growing strong. Seek advise from a local nursery and hear what they have to say

All good. Tools are expensive and it takes a while to build up a collection of tools. I use a cheap wound sealer made by effekto called steriseal. Don’t know if it is available in you region.

Well done on the tree. Looks good. Might I suggest two things to consider? First you should seal wounds where branches were removed with a sealant just to keep moist out as this is the perfect breeding

Yess! For you any day. Once your piece of raffia is coming to an end insert the new piece of raffia and wrap a few wraps with the old raffia over the new piece. Just before the old one runs out start wrapping

It might look like the trunk might be lacking taper. Just keep in mind this is a Ficus. They tend to thicken up very quickly. If the roots at the top of this rock infuse the tunk will thicken up around
