This is a coffee cherry, the initial stage before it transforms into the black powder in your kitchen. I took this photo during a visit to Bener Meriah, Indonesia. Coffee cherries go through three stages before being harvested: green, yellow, and red. Red indicates ripeness, when the cherries are ready to be picked and continue their long journey to your cup.
