Today’s photo shows the linden tree again. My favorite tree. It belongs to my neighbor, but we see each other several times a day.
This morning as I walked from the house to the small building where my office is, birds were singing in its branches.
I stopped, phone already in my hand, trying to locate the sound.
A quick photo. But I was too slow. The bird was already gone.
Some moments do not wait.
After that I went into the office and finished a post.
Later a short walk to the doctor. From there to the cemetery and then back home again.
In the past I would have done such errands by car or by bicycle. Now because of Actifit I pay more attention to my steps. Movement as part of the day.
In the afternoon my daughter visited with her baby.
Another walk.
Babies often sleep when the stroller moves.
Or they watch the world with wide eyes.
A quiet day. Small distances. Many steps.
And always the linden tree standing nearby.
Observed while moving. Left unfinished.
